"There were no chairs by the unheated pool. There was no soap in the shower. Incredible amount of dust under bed. No cups or glasses in room. Towels were worn, and thin. The breakfast was cold. Almost no coffee was left. And the phone and TV in room did not work. There was no mat in the shower and it was very slippery. "

"The location is great as it’s walking distance to many things. There’s a bus to the airport which you can catch across the street which is a plus. The breakfast was decent and the gentleman in charge was very kind and helpful. The rooms could use some upgrading as it was old looking and the bathroom smelled like sewer water. It’s no frills and comfortable but don’t expect amenities like a gym or room service. It’s a small boutique hotel. It was comfortable for our stay. "

"The bedding needs to be majorly upgraded. Need new linens better pillows a stylish comfortable coverlet and better mattress or mattered pad. It was a very uncomfortable sleep for a quite high priced hotel. Also the shower is terrible with mould and rust and it leaks. Breakfast and location are lovely"

"I had a truly wonderful stay at Mazzini Palace. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always smiling – it genuinely felt like they had put their heart and soul into creating this place. A special thank you to Giulia, who was an absolute professional. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and always ready to help with any request. Her approach made the stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The room was spotless, and the level of cleanliness was exceptional throughout my stay. Everything was cleaned daily, the towels were changed every day, and fresh water was brought to the room daily, which I really appreciated. Little touches like slippers and a shower cap – just like in a five-star hotel – made the experience feel especially comfortable and thoughtful. The room itself was beautiful, with very high ceilings that made you genuinely feel like you were staying in a modern palace – spacious, elegant, and full of character. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and everything fresh and nicely presented. It really set a positive tone for the day. Another highlight was the view – from the hotel you can see Mount Etna, which made the stay even more special and memorable. Although the location is in a quieter area and requires a bit of travel to reach the main attractions, the peaceful atmosphere can be a nice advantage if you prefer to stay away from busy tourist crowds.
