"This beautiful hotel is very grand and is still very classy. It is showing its age however, but we still had a wonderful experience, with my husband celebrating his birthday at dinner where the staff made his night very special. The staff are excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. "
"The new owners are very nice and helpful. Food was great, and the views are amazing!
Wish we could have had more time there but we only had one night"
"The only reason I'm giving this place 4* is because the road leading down is gravel and not bery well maintained. The cabin itself is a paradise! The pond is beautiful, the ducks friendly, and the fast moving creek sounds lull you to sleep. I was very pleasantly surprised at how stocked the kitchen was with cooking supplies. The staff was friendly and the whole property is well maintained. "
"There was a bath without a screen instead of a shower. A large dead cockroach in the bathroom. Lights outside the bedroom window that were not switched off. Naked, exposed wiring where the switch for the bedside lamp should be ( I could have electrocuted myself reaching for the switch at night!). Very noisy water pipes from 3am. The bed was clean and comfortable but the roach had spoiled it all."
"The pillows was very hard to use. Bathroom does not have a light. Blanket not comfortable to use, it was those heavy blaket. We were given a plastic teaspoon to use. They ask us how much did we paid before they gave us a room. But they welcomed us. They were so friendly. "
"We had a wonderful time at Karongwe River Logde. Staff, accommodations, food and service were impeccable! The games were great and we saw many animals , including the big five. "

"Arrived on Friday afternoon and received excellent reception from the front desk.there was no toilet spray or any odour controlling mechanism in the bathroom room.left the room at 5am and came back at 12:30 pm.the room was cleaned but without towels, they were only replaced around 13:00.had an issue the aircon that sounded like a petrol fuelled generator which was attended to immediately."
"I enjoyed the old world feeling to the place as it fits in with the overall being in nature experience. The place does need some upkeep( New carpets and a new cour of paint in the rooms and hallways). The hotel also needs some modernization ( USB type plugpoints,2 point plugs, and fans/ aircons) and repairs to room doors. The restaurant needs a major shake up as the menu is limited, stock is limited and staff is not very attentive.I ordered a breakfast pack as I was leaving early in the morning and although reception took my order and required time the night before, the restaurant nor the reception not open when I checked out.I will be back for a recreational visit..but not for business "
"A last minute change of plan when our actually chosen hotel let us down. What a fabulous find. Our room was lovely and the staff were great. We will defiitely be back."
"We loved our stay at Kings Waldon. We wish Marike and Hannes all the best in all their endeavors. Walter and team were helpful and friendly. The views are magnificent, the gardens quite stunning. Our room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and dinners were good too. "
