The house was just the right mix of old and new, clearly an original beach cottage with renovations. Best equipped kitchen I’ve had in a beach house. Being right off the beach was one of the best parts—if it rained we came in and went back out when the storm was over. This was particularly helpful for the family with younger kids. One thing not explained in the listing unless you scour the floor plan—the layout of bedrooms on the main floor included one bedroom that could only be accessed by walking through another (or a shared bath). So that might determine who stays in which room. Also, the downstairs bedrooms (nice little apartment) can only be accessed from the main level by walking down steps and through the garage, which has an outside vibe because garage doors are just wood slats. The two bedrooms down there are small but nice with a shared “foyer” and bath with its own small fridge (and it’s own thermostat). Laundry room (another through-the-garage accessed room) has two sets of machines and another full fridge. There was a large gas grill, a smaller charcoal grill, plus a giant pot for seafood boil and an outdoor propane cooker, all of which we used. Like I said, very well equipped! Also nicely furnished/decorated, and my favorite spot was the glassed-in porch. So sunny and enough chairs for the whole group. Highly recommend!
