Book a Twentynine Palms Cottage

"First...young lady at the front desk was amazing! So nice and helpful. Made check-in a breeze. Parking right in front of our room for free. Room had AC, a fridge and microwave. Price was fair. I give it a 4 overall as I'm reviewing at the level of hotel that this is. Problems with the room - biggest was it had 1 plug socket available behind the TV for the whole room to use - phones, laptops, etc and none near the beds. That was a problem, especially nowadays with all the tech. The TV only worked manually and you needed to figure that out. Light between the beds was broken...button pushed in to nowhere. All that being said, we booked it moments before needing it so that was a bonus. "

"At the time of check in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was explained that I need to make a payment there. Yes, I am aware. But she wanted to make sure I understand the procedure. I felt it is nice of her to avoid any misunderstanding. Cleanses- it could be improved little bit with tight sheets tacking. However it didn’t bother me. I had everything I need. The location was also perfect. When I was checking I thought this could be some distance from Joshua Tree NP gates. Actually it is close to East gate of the NP and closer to the center of 29 Palms. If you are not looking for super fancy accommodation, I would recommend this motel. If I can recommend one thing, I suggest them to prepare neighborhoods map, some fast food, fancy restaurant, and the NP information along with the say’s sunset and sunrise time.😊"

"A very unique and wholesome experience. The Yurts are beautifully crafted and the amenities were excellent. Our host was very friendly and provided us with lots of helpful information. She even helped us to get a late dinner reservation at the Kitchen in the Desert restaurant with great atmosphere and great fusion cuisine. "

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids ages 7 and 9) had a fabulous long weekend at Dale's place! We saw tons of animals right on the property: chuckwallas, fence lizards, a rosy boa, roadrunners, and a quail mom with eight tiny chicks! The location is breathtaking, set right up against a private set of boulders with views out over the desert. Our kids had the best time scrambling on the rocks in the back valley right behind the house each day, and the stars from the hot tub were spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice--thanks so much for sharing this special place!"

"The staff was helpful, the room was clean, water was hot in the morning, all these are good things. However we arrived late from travel for a Sunday at check in about 4 PM and the in house restaurant apparently is closed on Sunday's and Mondays, so we were out of luck with that regard. Initially told that the next door property had a coffee shop but it was closed also. We didn't use pool or hot tub only because we were passing through, however it looked clean and in good shape. The bed was OK, the AC slightly noisy, so we turned it off. Overall Better than some, not as Good as others, but considering the price we're giving others the choice to decide on their own. Parking and security was Good and FREE."
