Kingscliff

This coastal town is renowned for its scenic coastline, hinterland mountains and long white beaches, making it the perfect base for a seaside getaway.

Kingscliff features sandy beaches, surrounding rainforests and parks and close proximity to local attractions. Make this tranquil town your spot for holiday relaxation.

Laze on the golden beach and spend a day splashing about in the shallow tides on Kingscliff Beach. Swim, fish and paddleboard in the water or scuba dive at the Cook Island Aquatic Reserve. Take your surfboard to the reef break at the southern end of the beach.

Explore the surrounding nature parks and rainforests. Hike through coastal rainforest to discover flora and fauna unique to the area. Visit Point Danger’s lookout to see dolphins playing in the water. Walk through the Cudgen Nature Reserve and kayak or fish in Cudgen Creek. Climb nearby Mount Warning or ride a bike from Kingscliff to Pottsville Beach. Relax on a boat cruise along the Tweed River estuary and see the volcanic crater in the Tweed Valley.

Take a trip to Fingal Head Lighthouse and see the ruins of the lightkeeper’s house. This modest beacon was built in 1872. Its powerful illumination is due to its position on one of the easternmost points on the coast. The surrounding area is a great spot to fly kites, fish or simply look out to sea.

Marine Parade is Kingscliff's central street. Stop for a morning coffee, browse in speciality stores, see art at the Minjungbal Aboriginal Cultural Centre and in the evening, dine in style at an alfresco restaurant.

Kingscliff is a beachside community located south of Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales. The town is divided by a waterway, allowing access from the historic town centre to the outer areas. It is a 15-minute drive from the Gold Coast Airport, 45 minutes from Mount Warning and 80 minutes from Brisbane and Lamington National Park.
