Awesome cabin!

This cabin is really great for families. Plenty of place for three couples and lots of kids. The back yard has a ton of space for kids to play and adults to hang out.

Great cabin

4 generations of family enjoyed this cabin. Great location, wonderful decks, comfortable beds, lots of space, fully stocked kitchen, great communication with Scott. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars was it needs a deep clean.

Lovely house, spacious patio, great location

We were four couple and two kids, here for a week, for a family reunion and wedding. The bedroom in the basement had private bath, walkout doors, perfect for our bride and groom. Two bedrooms on main floor had private baths. Two bedrooms with lots of beds shared a bath upstairs (great for a family with kids). Small A/C units in bedrooms, "swamp cooler" in living room and large fans throughout the house kept things comfortable in July. The backyard/patio is amazing. (See photo.) A short walk gets you into "downtown." (Restaurants, stores, mini-golf, park and playground, public pool.) Best of all, for the summer months, the house has a membership at Twain Harte Lake, which is a short drive, and is lovely and relaxing, with snack a bar available.Scott was very responsive and helpful. There is plenty of room to park up to seven carsWe live on the East Coast and don't expect to get out to CA much, but if we get an opportunity to go back to Twain Harte, I would be delighted to rent this house again.

Very Nice.

Very nice accommodations in Twain Harte.

Having stayed here once before, we were pleasantly surprised by some very nice upgrades in the kitchen and bedrooms! The large home is very nice for our family group and the grandchildren really enjoyed the outdoor space. Thanks for the TV services and networks, WIFI and comfortable beds!

Family Retreat

Great home for 3 families; newborn to grandparents. Large kitchen was great to cook in. Kitchen table easily sat 10 adults. Interior stairs to lower level rooms are difficult to manage but the main floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bath. Close to local spots. Thank you for sharing your home.

Family Reunion 2019

My family of 20 stayed for Labor Day weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone, big yard for the kids to play. Scott texted me to see if everything was OK the day after we arrived, that was nice to know he was concerned, he responded promptly with any question we had, he gave some suggestions for things to do while in Twain Harte. We had a great time and would stay here again. Thank you Scott!

Overall a good experience

This lodge was overall clean, communication was great, but the space was a bit tight. The posting says “sleeps 25”, but in reality that number of people cannot comfortably live together here. Overall it was a good experience; kitchen was stocked, grilling station is awesome, fireplace was cozy, TV screen was helpful (for bible studies), and the bedrooms and restrooms were clean and well maintained. P.s The communication and organization from the side of the hosts was exceptional - you will know exactly what to expect when lodging here. P.s.s I’ve learned to look at square footage of buildings before renting them out for group events after lodging here; may be helpful to some.

Room to spread out!

Just what we needed for a family get-together! The hosts thought of everything a group could need to make our stay comfortable and fun. Great communication and response time from our host-the best we’ve ever had staying in similar lodgings. Our family group of three generations had a wonderful relaxing, leisurely time. Super convenient off-street parking, and just There are three levels in the cabin, and a spacious kitchen so several cooks could be together. The kids loved playing inside and out, and we all enjoyed the fireplace. We especially appreciated the back porch gate, even though our own kids were bigger, the gate quickly makes a large secure play space for supervised littles. We also really liked having 4 bathrooms! We went uphill to let the kids play in the snow, discovered a pickleball court and playground, and went for walks in the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. There are all the necessities you may have forgotten at home available in the little town. The cabin decor was nice, rustic, and cozy. We would definitely love to return sometime. Great multi-family cabin

My family and I rent a cabin for our 20+ member family (I'm one of 5 kids so lots of nieces and nephews) about 2x a year. The cabin was great. Loved the huge dining table, and the kitchen was easy to move around in and had ample room for cooking and storing food bins or ice chest. Loved that there were 3 bathrooms, and the hot water seemed to last better than most places we have stayed. Lots of pillows and blankets, but you have to bring your own sheets which wasnt ideal but luckily we have enough households we were able to cover the amount of sheets needed for all the beds. Great parking, and a easy and beautiful walk into town. Scott was so easy to communicate with and made sure he kept in contact with you the whole time, which was nice. A barn door is the barrier for most sleeping quarters so they are not super private, we didnt mind at all, as my family is super close, but if you dont like sharing rooms, that is the one thing I would say could be a down side to the cabin. Overall I think its was a great cabin and we would stay again.

Very well maintained and peaceful.

My family and I have rented several houses and this by far was the most spacious and well maintained. The house, beds and bathrooms were spotless. There were several spices, pots and pans. The owner even provided brand new pillows. The rooms are spread throughout the entire house which allowed for privacy when someone wanted to slip away for a nap. The kitchen was large enough for several people two prepare a meal at once. There are two refrigerators, yes two! And a large pantry. There is a large dining table that flows from the kitchen to the living room. Every night we all gathered around and played cards and board games. Since the house has an open concept some of us where able to relax in the living room and talk while others cooked in the kitchen and the rest of us played cards at the dining table. The back yard has a spacious patio with a dining area and bbq grill. At night the patio lights up so we spent a few dinners out back. The house is also close to town so a few of us walked to town to grab some ice cream. Lastly, the house has a swamp cooler that really cooled down the house. This is huge since it was in the low 100's during our stay. All in all a great getaway. Did I mention the owner was extremely easy to get a hold of and even sent me an email with local day activities. Awesome!

Great spot

Check in easy and Scott was very communicative. House in a lovely area, loved the decks and space! Only one drawback was both staircases were very steep and it didn’t show in the pics. We had several older 80 family that we had to keep on main level.

Annual family Xmas gathering

The property was nice like the old cabin feel. Has all the amenities needed. Gas BBQ in back patio with other areas to hang out in. Close to town and in a nice neighbor. Only suggestions i would give is to have at least one patio covered and cover the BBQ. We had rain but didnt stop us.

Women’s retreat

Wonderful place to stay! The home has plenty of places to gather inside around the large kitchen table and outside on both of the porch decks. Rooms are nice and cozy. Some rooms are much smaller in person. Both staircases going up and down to the basement are narrow and steep. Overall I would recommend this place.

Twain Harte Gem

Wonderful property for a family gathering. We were so comfortable! The little ones loved exploring the cabin and surrounding grounds. We walked to town and rode our bikes to the lake. So much fun. What a great location and cozy cabin. Scott was wonderful about checking in and making sure we had what we needed. Thank you!
