"My first visit to Istanbul and it was quite an eye opener. There are hundreds of tiny hotel/ pension-type places in the tiny back roads of this very busy city. I was lucky in choosing the Amada Hotel as it was a quaint but deceptively big property. My room was adequate with lovely polished floors and traditional style wall coverings. From the window I could look over one of the old city walls to the harbouer beyond. Breakfast was included in the price - buffet style on a lovely roof-topp terrace with a view of the ocean on one side and the amazing blue mosque on the other. Property is walking distance from a light rail station. I found the metro fairly easy to use and probably the best way to and from the airport."
