The best area to stay in Turnow-Preilack is within the village of Turnow itself, particularly around the central green and the main roads like Hauptstraße.

Turnow offers a more concentrated selection of guesthouses and local amenities compared to the more spread-out nature of Preilack. The village is characterised by its traditional Lusatian architecture, with many well-maintained homes and gardens. You'll find a few local eateries and shops primarily along the Hauptstraße.

For couples seeking a quiet retreat and a taste of rural Brandenburg life, Turnow is an excellent choice. You can enjoy strolls through the village and the surrounding countryside, with easy access to nature trails and the Spreewald biosphere reserve. It's a relaxed base for exploring the region's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Families will also find Turnow appealing, especially those looking for a peaceful holiday away from city bustle. Many guesthouses offer larger rooms or apartments, and the open spaces around the village provide opportunities for children to play.
