Short but enjoyable stay
The cabin is very clean, very charming, very private, and very small. Appropriate for a couple or family with small kids who can sleep in the loft (with a very low ceiling). Ours was a quick one night stay to be at an event at the college and the property was suitable for that. The outdoor space is amazing. Lots of outdoor seating space to relax and enjoy the sound of the creek.

Perfect getaway location for seclusion and R&R!
Of all the other tiny houses you may find at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls this one stood out once we were there. This one is tucked away down a hill Creekside without neighbors. We arrived on Friday night and the creek wasn't running much. Overnight and the next morning were storms and what a difference. It became a nice rushing creek that could lull you to sleep from the deck. The pictures are just as you see the on the website. Beautiful! Nice overhead lights in the trees at the firepit area. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker which isn't mentioned so a quick trip to the local Piggly Wiggly took care of that. This trip was a Plan B. Plan A was to have my daughter and husband have a getaway, but he was unable to get off work. Plan B turned into a girls weekend with a 20 month-old. Luckily, we thought of bringing a baby gate to keep her safe from the loft staircase. Best decision! We had a great time together and loved the solitude. I will end with a warning. The house has a parking spot at the front as you drive down the hill. To the left is a nice looking driveway that makes you think you can park down there and be closer to the only door. Do Not Go Down The Hill unless you have a 4-wheel drive. This is not mentioned on any literature that I found until you enter the house and find the warning in the house binder. Luckily, my daughter was able to make it back up the hill after 2 attempts, but she did spin the tires. We hope to return to this cozy tiny house!

We loved the secluded serenity of this Creekside tiny home! Everything from The covered porch with gas fire pit as you listen to the peaceful flute of the creek, to the comfy electric fireplace inside while the rain falls in the tin roof. There was hot cocoa and board games (settlers of Catan... our favorite!) The hosts really showed their hospitality and thought of almost everything!
