"Cozy and efficient place although quite costly for what it offers. A bit disappointed that there was insufficient communication re: transport. It can take ages to get from Flam to the hotel if you dont prebook a taxi or look up the shuttle timetable. Uber does not work here."

"We were fortunate that there were not many people there when we arrived and the room were comfortable, clean, and easy to find. The porch on the front was lovely to sit and look at the waterfalls (i counted at least 10) visible in the Fjord."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay at Sognefjord Gjesteheim – Better Than Any other travel accommodation.! Our stay at Sognefjord Gjesteheim was the absolute highlight of our trip to Norway. We originally booked through Expedia, but the level of hospitality we experienced here completely blew away any other place we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The proprietor, Pablo (sp?), greeted us warmly and took phenomenal care of us throughout our stay. Because we had a very early departure, Pablo went above and beyond by waking up early to cook us a delicious, custom omelet breakfast at 6:30 AM. As if that wasn't enough, he then sat down and played the piano for us, sending us on our way with a beautiful musical memory. You simply cannot find this level of personal touch, genuine care, and warmth in a standard rental. If you are looking for an exceptional, world-class hospitality experience right on the Sognefjord, look no further than Sognefjord Gjesteheim. We cannot recommend Pablo and his property highly enough!"

"I would say this is the best budget hotel standard. Check in is at another building which is about 2 mins drive. There is laundry and dryer available for use. There's mountain view. Room wifi coverage can be improved. The cafe and bakery near the check in (Separate building) is good especially the pizza."

"We had a wonderful visit the property right on the fjord our room with balcony overlooking the fjord. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast was plentiful with nice selection variety. My favorite was the Lobby Bar with draft Heineken as after coming in from our days on travels seeing the local sights it was so refreshing having a cold beer relaxing on the balcony. The staff eas all so helpful and friendly. Hope to come back again."

"Schönes und sehr sauberes Ferienhaus in der Nähe von Vik am Sognefjord. Orte wie Flåm (Bahn) und Gudvangen (Fähre durch den Nærøyfjord) sind von hier aus gut erreichbar. Das Haus hat eine schöne Aussicht auf den Fjord - von einer Ecke der Terrasse. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt eine Geschirrspülmaschine, eine Waschmaschine und ein zweites WC, was sehr praktisch ist, wenn man mit mehreren Personen kommt. Schönes Wohnzimmer mit Küchenzeile. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Natürlich gibt es immer Kleinigkeiten zur Verbesserung: nur in einem Schlafzimmer gibt es einen Schrank, so dass alle anderen Gäste aus dem Koffer leben müssen. Völlig unverständlich ist, dass - wer auch immer - Brennholz gerade an der Stelle verstreut hat, an der man mit dem Auto rangieren muss. So kann man nur rückwärts die steile Auffahrt herauffahren. Außerdem sollte man genau das Kleingedruckte lesen, bzw. das, was dort nicht steht: das Haus verfügt nicht über WLAN/Wi-Fi, was für skandinavische Verhältnisse sehr unüblich ist und uns zum erstem Mal untergekommen ist. Und anders als angegeben, gibt es kein Fernsehen - zumindest ist der vorhandene Fernseher nicht an ein Netz-Kabel angeschlossen. Alles in allem geben wir eine positive Empfehlung für dieses Haus ab."
