This was our second year staying here and we can’t say enough good things about this property. It is a beautiful home in a private, quiet location. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. The owners were available whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this property to others.
Lovely home in a beautiful location; clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need! Hosts are accommodating and available if needed. We highly recommend this rental !
We had a wonderful stay at this property for two months. The views are amazing and the property itself perfect. Couldn’t change a thing. Christy was quick to answer any questions as was the property manager. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.Cathy
Love the hideaway feeling. The driveway kind of tells you you you will be tucked away in a nice private spot. Check in process was a breeze. Owner easy to communicate with. View from veranda is lovely. Wonderful home with several different outdoor areas for hanging out. Plenty of choice for indoor spaces too. Entry-sunroom is cheery and comfortable. I enjoyed lounging by the pool and look forward to using the huge hot tub on my next visit. Highly recommend.
Beautiful mountain views along with the privacy and location of this home were exactly what I was looking for to provide the relaxation and solitude I was seeking. Yet essential shopping for my two-month stay and a large variety of good restaurants were within an easy drive.
The property owner and manager were very attentive and pleasant to deal with.
This place was exactly what we were looking for as far as privacy and views. The landscaping is beautiful. We used the hot tub, fire pit and pool almost daily. The pool is a bit chilly but with it being 90 degree weather it felt good once you got in. We saw little baby quails, tons of lizards and humming birds. I’d definitely recommend this home.
This was the second time my husband and I stayed here. We invited another couple to join us and they were as pleased as we were with the location, views from the property and the accomodations. We hiked, ate out and in and had everything we needed. Enjoyed waking up to the mountain view with our coffee and breakfast. Built a fire in the pit outside and stargazed. We even jumped in the pool for a brisk swim. We hope to be back again.
Entry road/driveway for off-road vehicles only, not well stocked w/ amenities (coffee, pencil/paper, remote batteries), internet/tv signal very poor, no ac/swamp cooler working and no heated pool. Noted book by front door where guests could leave remarks, with half the pages of the book ripped out.
Leading up to our trip, Christy the property manager was extremely helpful and prompt with answers to questions I had. The home was easy to find with a GPS—the hill leading up to the house is very steep, had to be cautious with our rental car (a Mustang convertible! 😂) going up, but we were fine each time coming and going. The home is EXACTLY as pictured. Well decorated, very clean, and very well stocked. Tons of extra towels, toiletries, and even some unopened, non-perishable food left from prior guests (pasta, Diet Coke, water bottles, plenty of spices to cook some meals at home). It was very convenient to have a grocery store just a mile away as well. Even small details like cozy blankets because it was very unseasonably cold while we were there. Too bad it was too cold for swimming, but the hot tub was nice and hot to relax in! It’s a little bit of a drive to get downtown, maybe 45 minutes, but it was nice to be off the beaten path. Great restaurants in the area (especially Wildflower, wow!) too.
We loved this property, and thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
This place is perfect! We were visiting Tuscon to attend a football game at UofA and wanted a quiet place outside of the city to spend a few days exploring the area. Catalina is a very quiet and beautiful area north of the city near the mountains. The house is located on the top of a hill and is very private. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but there is a grocery store, restaurants just a few minutes away. Also close to great hiking and other outdoor activities. Highly recommend Catalina State Park and driving the back road from Oracle to the top Mt. Lemmon (definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle with high ground clearance to explore the local desert mountain roads). Check-in was straight forward, and the property manager was very prompt with communication. The house is very spacious and overall was very comfortable (the living room could use a sofa upgrade to something more comfortable for lounging and watching movies). The kitchen was well stocked and has everything you need and more. The outdoor space is the highlight of the property. Great covered patio to keep you out of the sun with amazing views of the mountains at sunset by the pool. The weather was fortunately very warm for late October so we were still able to use the pool, and also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub daily. The description and pictures of the property are very accurate. Will definitely stay again when we're back in the area.
The hosts for this rental are excellent. Christy responds quickly to any questions. The house is immaculate and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We love it here!
Love this place- I keep coming back! Explored a great running trail nearby on this visit (actually a 4x4 road) and enjoyed the starry skies from the fabulous yard.
Second time here and will certainly book again! Extremely gracious host. Newly added light up address signage partway up the driveway will help confirm you are in the right place. Head to the top!
We came from New York, for a week, to literally defrost! We’re also checking out different areas to get away from the cold weather. Tucson is very manageable, and the area where this house is located, is what we’re looking for. This is a lovely place to stay. The views are awesome, the house and grounds are spacious, and it is in a quiet area, on top of a hill. It’s located 5 minutes from a grocery store, and about 45 minutes from downtown. We were fortunate to have amazing weather for the week. It was great to sit out by the pool (too cold except to dunk feet) after any of our off site adventures, and enjoy the sun and views. My husband used the hot tub every day. The host was great and communicated easily. I didn’t read something carefully, and she walked me through the steps. Leave time after checking out, in case you’re headed to the airport, as you will have to drop off the garbage. There is a fee of 25 plus tax. It’s about a mile away. All in all, we had a fabulous stay, and are looking to return next year.
Everything was exactly as advertised. Gorgeous views and close enough to shopping and dining but still a feel of solitude and tranquility. Would absolutely stay again!
