Wake up to the Sanoran Desert in the middle of 7.4 acres. Pour yourself a coffee and watch the sunrise over the Rincon Mountains and 550,000 acres of wilderness. Take off for a day of exploring. Tucson offers well over 100 miles of paved, mostly level bike paths in and around town and countless more challenging rides and unending single track trails. When you're tuckered out, head back to your casita for a hot shower, pour a drink, and sit on the West side of the house and watch the sunset over the Tucson Mountains. Put a match to the fire in the chiminea and you'll warm up as the desert cools down. A good night's sleep in the cozy casita and you'll be ready for more adventures!

One of our favorite VRBO stays and we've been all over the US. The hosts are wonderful people who understood our needs The Casita perfect size for two.
Our second time at this lovely casita next to Saguaro NP Rincon area. As before Alice and Dick were wonderful hosts. Best part: Tucson Rodeo Parade! Cheers Howard and Marcia.
If you like rural country desert setting with a very comfortable cottage this is the perfect lace for you. The hosts are fantastic being welcoming and and generous with information as well as offering use of their washer and dryer if needed. Highly recommend the place for a certain type of alternative traveler. Really close to national park and hiking. I would definitely return
The casita is situated on acreage, next to the host's home. Hosts were non invasive, yet very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the area. When asked, they made several activity suggestions that we loved. The property is away from city lights, however sounds from the major roadway could be heard. But that didn't take away from the pleasure of hearing coyotes howl and having wandering javelinas pass through. Amenities are simple, but sufficient (internet, but no TV). We loved our stay, and would absolutely stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay. Great location for exploring local attractions. Hosts are very friendly and attentive. Loved hearing the coyotes howling in the moonlight.
Very clean. Great location, close to everything but set back off the road for perfect night sky viewing. Hosts could not be nicer. Loved our stay. We would definitely rent this again!!
Excellent location with wonderful hosts. Easy access to all of Tucson and the forest. Nature is at your fingertips with all the comforts of a super clean and comfortable casita. You will want for nothing when staying here.
We wanted a place near friends that live in Tucson, and near the Saguaro NP - this was a great location. The little garden around the entrance was a nice touch. Watching the sunset off the back porch was great.
This is a clean, comfortable, somewhat no frills getaway. The driveway experience is like driving through the desert, because it basically is. The indoor space is cozy, and pretty basic, but absolutely fine. Unless, of course, you are looking for things like a TV. We were not, and it actually took us a few days to even realize there wasn’t one. The outdoor space is where the Saguaro Casita really shines. It is a VERY natural setting, but then again, you can see how much work has gone into caring for the landscape. And it’s a great spot to watch for wildlife. We spotted some Javelinas and a Roadrunner on the property, which was fantastic!
We enjoyed our snow getaway at this desert retreat. It has great access to biking and entering Saguaro National Park East. Ali and Dick are welcoming hosts.
From the floral designs painted around the front door to the sunset views from the back patio, this is a perfect place for visitors to Saguaro National Park. And the hosts-- who live next door and who crafted the renovation of the casita-- are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Ali and Dick were extremely welcoming and the little casita was wonderful. Cannot thank my hosts enough for making my stay so enjoyable!
Perfect for us.
Great access to Saguaro National Park.
The property is beautiful and covered with an abundance of desert plants and cactus. In and of itself amazing.
Ali and Dick are wonderful hosts and have lots of recommendations.
Our stay at this east Tucson cottage was absolutely fantastic. The moment we arrived, we were struck by the unique furnishings that added a personal, artistic touch to the space. The home was thoughtfully decorated, blending comfort with charm in a way that made us feel right at home. The true highlight of the stay, and the reason we chose it, was the connection to nature. The cottage overlooks Saguaro National Park, offering a breathtaking view that we couldn’t get enough of. We spent several hours each morning sitting by the chiminea outside with our coffee enjoying the peaceful desert ambiance. The birdwatching was a treat. We had the privilege of watching a Gila Woodpecker and his mate, and a chatty native Arizona Cardinal, both of which added a sense of wonder to our stay. The desert wildlife really brought the natural surroundings to life. The house was impeccably clean and well-equipped, making our stay as comfortable as possible. Everything we needed was provided, from kitchen essentials to extra blankets. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering helpful tips and ensuring that we had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with a unique atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, this cottage is an absolute gem. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the opportunity to experience this special spot. Highly Recommended!
We're new to AZ and this was our first venture out to explore this wonderful state. We chose this VRBO due to it's proximity to several sites we wanted to see in the Tucson area. The accommodations were excellent and the hosts are really fun folks..well traveled, very talented and fun to visit with! The casita was as advertised..very quiet, beautiful grounds and very comfortable. One thing to note is that there is no TV..however, the internet is fast and we were able to catch a couple of movies on our iPad so it wasn't a problem. Overall, we would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again if in the area!
The casita was exactly as described. Very convenient location near Saguaro National Park East. Very cozy and comfy. Outfitted with everything we needed. Great outdoor seating areas with fabulous sunrise/sunset viewing. Great hosts. Easy check in. Very relaxing spot. Would love to stay there again!!
