The staff were very nice though English level wasn't high enough to have effective communication. But we could handle.

We were a group of 12 people of family and friends travelling through Vietnam. We researched the web and booked Royal Palace Hotel in Hanoi because it was highly recommended. Having never been to Vietnam, we reached out to the hotel manager, Jimmi, for suggestions on restaurants, transportation and activities. He was extremely helpful and responsive with our group's requests, booking restaurants and arranging rides for all of us. Royal Palace is a nice, clean boutique hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter which makes all the local sites and restaurants easily accessible. The included breakfast was very good and the manager of the restaurant, Anna, was friendly and provided us great personal service during our meal. Overall, we highly recommend the Royal Palace because of their cleanliness, well maintained rooms, excellent service and would stay there again in our future travels to Hanoi.

Great hotel and great location. Good and new room

The hotel is located at the heart of the Old Quarter, ideally situated for easy access to major sights and great restaurants, either by walking or using Grab. Our room was clean, spacious and remarkably quiet at night. Breakfast selection was quite decent. The staff at the hotel truly made our stay exceptional. Ms. Annie at the reception deserves a special mention; her English was impeccable, and she went above and beyond with her helpful recommendations and seamless arrangements for our day trip to Ninh Binh (more on that below). Mr. Henry consistently greeted with a friendly smile, opened doors for us and was always on hand to assist whenever needed. Mr. Truc was our private driver for our journey to Ninh Binh. He was very professional, drove with utmost care even in heavy rain, which gave us complete peace of mind. His suggestion for a sightseeing route worked out perfectly, allowing us to maximize our time and experience the beauty of Ninh Binh. Please consider adding this to your itinerary if you have time!

Property is on older end. Feels like some colonial hotel
