"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "The quiet was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Beds were comfy. A little too warm upstairs but cooled off in the night. Disappointed the pool was already closed in late August but we still really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend! the "

"Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course."
