"Great weekend. Close to Sylva. Cabin was very clean and simple. Just what we needed. The kitchen is basic but worked for us. A touch of charm and a bit nostalgic. The cabin was fine for us because we had teenagers that all slept downstairs together. Note the stairs are wooden and steep to basement where several queen beds are. Also there is a door to the outside down there. I only note that if you have older adults or young kids. Screened in porch was nice in the morning for coffee. Thank you!!"

"We arrived after an 11 hour drive to find that the room had not been cleaned. There were dirty towels piled in the shower, the bed had not been changed, urine on the back of the toilet, 2 dead cockroaches, so unlikely they have swept the floor in a while. I called their emergency number, and their customer service numbers. They said they would "try" to get someone out there to clean. It took about 8 calls and 3 hours before they finally agreed to refund my money because they couldn't find anyone to clean. I was really disappointed because it looked like a nice place and was in a great location, but I will not stay with this company again. Terrible service and I would not trust them again. On top of that the refund did not include the expedia service charge, so we ended up paying almost $50 for nothing since we didn't stay there. I will also not be using expedia again."

"Our stay was very nice. Two things to point out - we were unable to get the family room tv to work no matter which input we chose. Second, the basement window is cracked from the outside."

"Beautiful home with amazing views! Everything is set up perfectly for groups and marked for ease. Games, fire pit, lake front, morning jogs, latte on the patio, hosts who really care and communicate, the list goes on! Firefly Retreat MUST be on your list and I will absolutely be back. Amazing people who cared for me, and my family, during a very difficult time. 5 STARS isn't enough! Thank you :) "
