With a distinct yellow exterior, this bright, three bedroom, two and a half bathroom character home is a beautiful property and within walking distance to the train station and downtown Truckee! With so many nearby attractions and year-round activities, you’ll want to book the Holy Cow for your next Tahoe vacation, today!

INSIDE THE HOME

This home has been lovingly decorated to be a chic Truckee getaway with comfortable furnishings and light, airy rooms. The unique, spacious kitchen, large living room, stunning patio views, intimate dining area, inviting conservatory and stylish powder room, the main level of Holy Cow provides guests with an impressive welcome.

On the upper level of this beautiful home, guests will find a primary suite with private hot tub patio, a secondary queen bedroom and full bedroom with access to a lovely four piece bathroom.

The unique Holy Cow Downtown Riverfront is located near downtown Truckee just a walk away from shopping, dining, sightseeing and everything else downtown Truckee has to offer! If you want to explore the area by car, highways 267 and 80 are easily and quickly accessible so you're only ten minutes away from Northstar and fifteen minutes away from Squaw Valley!

- Outdoor furniture and grills may not be available November-May.
- In the winter, snow tires and 4WD/AWD are required. If your car is not equipped with both, please be sure to have chains

Fun Downtown Truckee

Really cool location a couple blocks from the main drag of downtown Truckee. Right on the river. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great communication with management, clean, super comfortable stay. Could use a bit of an update on the A/V system but other than that it was great!

Spent a week here with our family over Thanksgiving. It was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to settle in. And perfectly located to stroll to the many great restaurants in downtown Truckee. Loved the view of the river (and train). Loved the hot tub. Loved the fireplace.

Perfect Location

This house was in the perfect location with a beautiful view. We were able to walk over to historic down town truckee and enjoy all the restaurants and Shopping. I cant wait to stay in winter. I highly recommend this home.

Really fabulous property in Truckee

This house was great for hosting a long weekend with family. The location right on the river, with very easy access to the river was fantastic. The home was very clean, modern and had all the amenities that one could ask for to feel like home. Very comfortable and super clean. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

Wonderful spot in Truckee!

The property is clean, well maintained, and is very short walk to downtown Truckee. The hosts were responsive and helpful. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting n the patio and relaxing with the beautiful view of the river.

Cool House and Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Holy Cow during our annual family ski trip. The house is perfectly located downtown along the river with a few minute walk to some great restaurants and bars. Communication with the property manager was easy and the team was very responsive and polite. We would love to stay again and highly recommend to others.

Best Little Getaway!

Staying at the Holy Cow house was an absolute delight! Nestled right on the Truckee River and just a short stroll to downtown, the location couldn't have been more perfect. The host left a very sweet message and a brief history of the Holy Cow house, which made us feel incredibly connected to this charming home. We will definitely be coming back!

A fantastic place to stay

We wanted to explore the Tahoe area but also give our teenagers freedom to walk around, and that's why we chose Truckee. This home is beautifully situated to be extremely walkable to town. It sits on the river, has a beautiful view of town, and easy access to the Legacy River Trail up the hill. We were able to do day trips to varied places around the Lake Tahoe region, in addition to spring skiing twice. The property managers were extremely easy to communicate with and the house gave us all plenty of space and privacy. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Can’t beat it

Everything about this place was amazing. Hosts were very attentive and accommodating. It was just as advertised - steps from the charming Truckee town center, 10 minute drive to Northstar ski resort, right on the beautiful river. Lots of trains go by during the day on the tracks across the river, which was great entertainment for our young boys. The house is very nice and clean. The hosts even surprised us with sparkling wine, sweets from a local shop, and a hand-written note. Above and beyond.

Holiday trip
