I had the best time here, met some really amazing people and the views from the hostel windows of the mountains were awesome. Just a 10 min bus into town as well and during the week they come every 10 minutes!
Very modern and clean hostel, beautiful location. Will be visiting again! One thing that would make it even better is if it had safety lock boxes so you have peace of mind with your valuables.
This is nice place to stay if you are a travel budget person. Bus station is 3 minutes away and it takes less than 5’ to central. Check google map and you will know when it comes. One thing is that they don’t take credit card on bus so make sure that you have small change for bus or buy bus ticket on the app. There is one market very close by. It has everything so you can buy food to cook or pre-cook already
The house is really pretty, the host is very nice. It’s not in the downtown area but the bus stop is very close to the house and then it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the downtown area so that was not a problem at all. There’s a trail that goes by the hose that was a pretty good place to spot the northern lights. We had a very good stay.
This was an amazing find for a Hostel in northern Norway and made the trip more affordable overall. The house is beautiful, Like a duplex, with clean Scandinavian design. I was able to share a small room with one other person in a room with a bunk bed. Comfortable bed, in-room heating system, a desk. Enough space for 2-3 luggage. The house itself is beautiful, with spacious living area, dining room. Kitchen a bit small for the number of persons (about 8-10 at the time). One small fridge, gets crowded if everyone buys groceries. Spiral staircase as most of the rooms are downstairs, with one room upstairs. Two fancy bathrooms. Hot water becomes issue is everyone showers at similar times. No locks on individual rooms perhaps it's a Norway thing, but for non-Norwegians a bit anxiety in a Hostel. Overall, a wonderful stay, meeting friendly and engaging people. All people respectful and clean. Quiet neighborhood in south part of island, very near beach and walking path. Also near 3 bus bus stop, 8 minutes to downtown, less frequent on weekends. I'm thrilled to have visited Tromso!!
