"We are a couple visiting from Canada. We liked this small hotel. Nice outdoor space. Neighbourhood hotel away from the tourist congestion. Shuttle to the metro so you can get anywhere. 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. Didn’t have a great checkin experience. We booked a deluxe room. We were put into a 1 st story room at the back facing the dumpsters. When I told them the room description said City or Garden view they moved us. They said we could only get a 1st floor room. The view from the room we ended up with was okay. View was partially blocked by an elevator shaft. Inside the room was nice. I have never experienced this type of floor restriction before. Not sure if it was communication error or if it was because it was booked through Expedia. My experience has been deluxe room is better than standard and a higher floor. Having said all this I would recommend this hotel and using Expedia to book it."

"Centrally located, easy to get a taxi. Close to station and metro. Rooms a good size. Hotel was on main street so noise from road and restaurants and pubs were loud along with noise from corridor. Bathroom well appointed but tub shower combo with taps in the way are not ideal especially in slippery bath that took ages to drain and the tiled floor that was slippery when wet They need to upgrade their mattress's they had dips in them and you just sank into them and hard as concrete. We had breakfast included and only once was any of it warm, nothing worse than cold bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel is nicely decorated as it is old, but the rooms need updating along with the need to charge electronics, only 1 usb port and that stopped working after a day. The hilight were the finches in the garden watching them cleaning up after breakfast, they obviously don't mind cold food."

"My wife and I stayed for a week from 9/22 - 9/29 and had the most fantastic time. The place was maintained great, especially since most of the hotels/motels in Rome are hundreds of years old. Our host, who's name is Mondher, was the best part of it. He helped with any questions we had, made sure we had any supplies needed and the one time the hot water quit, he immediately had the boiler going again within 30 minutes. Even though his English isn't the best, we didn't have any problems in communicating. We used WhatsApp and translation tools. Our flight got in during the morning and he accommodated our request to store our luggage until check-in time. This hotel is very close to the Vatican, shopping, restaurants, bus, metro etc. We will most definitely stay here again on our next visit to Rome. Oh, and by the way, He gave us a free bottle of a very tasteful wine for staying. Thanks, Mondher!"
