We really enjoyed our stay at Cucharas River B&B. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy and it was sweet to be surrounded by giant evergreens and right on the River. Gaylene was a great hostess, providing delicious breakfasts and accommodating my GF needs.

Very nice B&B!

Very clean and nice B&B right on the creek with nice grounds and areas to hangout. Good breakfast the next day and the Owner gave us information about the area. Easy walk to the stores and restaurants in the tiny village of Cuchara.

Had an wonderful stay at the B&B while attending a Celtic music festival nearby. Inn is located at the edge of the Cucharas river where you can hear the water rushing by from the outdoor terrace and your room. Galena, proprieter, is very welcoming and has every comfort available that you could want. Definitely someplace to just "be"!

One of The Best B&Bs

The host was very welcoming. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. The location was serene with the greenery and river running alongside. The B&B was well-appointed, had charming decorations, offered good privacy, and there was fresh food and quite a spread for breakfast. The town of Cuchara is small, but has a great vibe.

Exactly what you want

Just a fantastic place. I have been there on a couple of occasions now and it’s just perfect. Gaylene does such a terrific job of providing all the essentials a person might need. The river setting is a bonus.

Wonderful serene property right on the Cuchara River. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Lacey’s is a short drive to more options. Breakfast was great and Gaylene is a wonderful hostess.

The Cuchara River Bed and Breakfast is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. Our room was super cozy, the bed was great, and the small balcony overlooking the river was the perfect spot for morning coffee. The innkeeper is charming and loves meeting her guests. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful sanctuary where you can escape the stresses of life, this is the place for you!

This was the most lovely and peaceful B & B! Right by the Cucharas River with very comfortable rooms and a relaxing common area. Our host, Gaylene, was welcoming to all guests and provided us with a good breakfast. The outdoor patios and balconies were so well appointed and a delightful place to enjoy the evening. We really liked how the river flows behind the property. It was a bit cold so we didn't spend too much time outside, but sitting by the river in the summer would be great. Breakfast was delicious and I was quite impressed by the array of hot sauces provided. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in this area of Colorado again!

Gaylene has a fabulous property. The location on Main Street and the creek is top notch. She also greets each guest upon arrival and invites them to the hot breakfast served the following morning. There is little reason to leave the back yard or patio as it is the jewel of the village. People walking by on the bridge envy those who have rented and have the yard to relax in and enjoy the trickling creek.

Quiet with a great location

One of the better B&Bs we have stayed at. Only 5 rooms, all with patio or balcony. Clean and comfortable. Nice quiet location along a mountain stream. Within walking distance of 3 restaurants and a country store. Nice areas to sit outside by the stream with chairs, sofa and gas fireplaces. Delicious breakfast and amenities. Only thing to make it better would be poo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. We felt very welcome. Gayleen was a gracious hostess.
