"We were apprehensive after reading previous reviews, however we were positively surprised. Our family room was large and spacious and the beds very comfortable. The deco is dated but everything was clean, the staff lovely and what a view!! If you want luxury, 5* accommodation, this isn't for you. If you want a comfortable, friendly hotel to stay in while having easy access to the town centre of St Ives, this is it."

"The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every one of them is excellent. Friendly and helpful. I arrived off the sleeper and they wen out of their way to make sure I got into my room early. "We totally enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I can't say enough about the breakfasts. There was a buffet of lots of fresh fruit every day, a selection of cereals, and the cooked breakfasts to order were fabulous. We aren't drinkers, so we didn't go into the pub at all. There was a minor plumbing issue one evening, and they did everything possible to rectify it that evening. Unfortunately, the plumber wasn't able to get the part till the next day, but we were able to use a shared toilet on the floor. I would stay again without hesitation."

"Great location but be prepared for the climb back up the hill from town! The parking involved a bit of shuffling but it was easy enough and superb to have an EV charger. We had the smallest room which doesn’t have a seaview but we knew that before coming and the room was lovely and cosy, with plush carpets, linen and towels. I wasn't sure what it'd be like without a staffed reception but it was easy to get hold of someone if you needed anything."
