Enjoyed our 3rd yr at the cabin, everything needed was there and described. Communication was great. Looking to come back for a 4th year in 2026. 2 new guys in group were amazed with the cabin and location, they are hooked too. Come on Salmon run 2026.

Such a pleasant stay

If you're wanting something close to Crystal Mountain, but not stuck in the middle of the crowd... this is it! A hot tub, plenty of beds, a wood-burning stove to dry out gloves and ski boots after a day on the hills are all perfect ways to relax. This is our third consecutive year booking at this property for a reason.

Nature Retreat

My friends and i stayed at Betsie Cabin for Labor Day weekend and had an amazing time. Eating by the campfire, playing ping pong in the game room, and relaxing next to nature was something we city boys needed. Would definitely recommend!

Great Stay - Warm & Cozy

This property was perfect. Great location to Crystal Mountain, amazing views, and great mornings cozied up to the fire and relaxing evening soaking the hot tub. This place was clean and nice. Definitely would recommend.We hope to stay here again someday.

Ski getaway

Close to Crystal and great location for some tranquility. Hot tub was relaxing after a day of skiing. Loved the river in the back and added to the relaxing atmosphere.

Ski weekend

My family and I stayed at the Betsie River Cabin to go skiing at Crystal Mt for the weekend. Our stay was great! Everything about the cabin was as they described and we had a great time playing board games and enjoyed the hotbtub after skiing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed Betsie River Cabin, it was everything it advertised and more, we used the canoe and also kayaked the river. It was great to launch from the property! We had great campfires and played ping pong, the hot tub was great after a day on the river. The hosts are very gracious and thought of everything. We will probably return sometime!

R&R with the in laws.

Nice cabin, not to far to any of the surrounding areas. Host were very responsive to all inquiries. We did some fishing and biking and toured Torch lake, Frankfort, Crystal lake to name a few. Enjoyed our stay and looking into another trip to the Bestie in the future.

Weekend getaway

This is the second time that my brother, sister in law, my wife and I have stayed at this cabin! We love that we have our own bedrooms and bathrooms! The house is cozy and just a great place to relax and enjoy each others company! We enjoy fishing and kayaking the Betsie River. We will be back in the future to our home away from home.

Well-appointed cozy cabin

We had a great time during our stay: the kids loved the pingpong and exploring the property. The kitchen had most everything we needed. We did some skiing at Crystal Mountain so the location of the cabin was perfect. The owners were responsive to any questions or issues we had. We'll definitely be back!

Nice private location

We had a few glitches with our stay. It was super hot and one of the bedrooms only windows was broken so there was no ventilation. This rooms ceiling fan was wobbly and noisy and the oscillating fan was broken. The main bedroom was comfortable without any issues. The living room and kitchen were also nice and spacious. The deck off of the living room was very dirty as was the outside furniture. The cover for the hot tub is super heavy so it was a bit of a struggle to open. We also had to sweep and clean the deck around it.

Betsie Cabin Getaway

This is the 2nd year in a row that I’ve booked this property with my family and friends and every year we leave wanting to stay more! The hosts Mike and Lisa are great communicators and ensure you feel as if you’re home during your stay. We had a great time fishing the river and relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day of fishing. What a great place!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our kids LOVED exploring the river and warming up in the hot tub after. We all had a lot of fun playing ping pong and used some of the board games provided as well. Campfires were also a favorite. It was perfect. So much do do in this area! This was our first time in Michigan and we hope to return.

Anniversary getaway

We had a a great time. We did some fishing in the river and saw a few salmon but no takers. Hot tub was nice addition and probably the main reason we booked this place. We had dinner at Crystal mt and went there for the spa the next day. We will definitely be back probably with the kids next time. Thanks again.

A Great Little Getaway in the Woods by the Betsie River

Eight friends from two families ages 10-46 gathered at this cabin for a few days to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes and float (tube) the Platte River. It was a lovely escape complete with a very nice hot tub and right on the Betsie River. We split sleeping arrangements in the two rooms by gender as 4 sleeping spaces exist in each of the two rooms. The cabin was well-stocked and hosts answered questions quickly when we had them. You may want to bring your own drinking water and lots of mosquito spray (if visiting in the summer).

Winter ski trip stay

The cabin was great! We loved the hot tub and woodstove. It was perfect for our running group to do a long weekend ski trip. It is very clean. The only thing to make sure of is that you fully understand the bed arrangements. In our group, there was only one couple who wanted to share a bed. In the listing, we misunderstood how many rooms and beds there were (if people are not up for sharing a bed, there are 6 sleeping places) which meant one of us slept on the couch. It wasn’t a big deal, we had just read it badly. So read carefully! Other then that, it’s a great space and it was perfect for us.

Betsie River

Home just as advertised. It had all items needed for a comfortable stay, beautiful scenery, hot tub was very clean and easy to use, ping pong table was really fun, kitchen fully stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware.....master bedroom bed was the most comfortable. The path to the river was kept clear and we could see salmon sometimes. Very pretty outside with the tree leaves changing color and private. The weather was not the best, rained the whole time, so did not use the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood supplied if we had wanted a fire. Grill was available but we did not use it. Would stay again. Hosts were im communication with me prior to with no issues, did not need to contact them during our stay.
