The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "This was not what I was expecting as a hotel. First of all we could not find the place. There was no signage indicating the way or that a hotel was there like other places we saw along the road. The directions connected to the listing took us to dead end roads. We finally got near the location and we thought that it was still wrong because it was in a little village and it looked like an abandoned house was there. I finally stopped and used my little Portuguese to ask for help. A nice lady...

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

"A minha estadia dentro dos contratempos da casa teve, correu bem. Um hotel considerado quatro estrelas no quarto não avia uma garrafinha de água um quarto com bastante espaço não tinha uma secretária para o computador mas também não tinha Wi-Fi no hotel o colchão era muito duro a roupa de cama essa era boa. Passado pouco tempo de dar entrada liguei a televisão vai a luz abaixo fomos à entrada conseguiram arranjar nesse noite no dia seguinte acontece o mesmo mandão desligar um botão no quadro...

"Un lugar perfecto si lo que buscas es un lugar tranquilo y acogedor para descansar. Los dueños de la casa son muy amables,cercanos y familiares. Las instalaciones limpias y perfectas, muy bien decoradas. El núcleo urbano tiene unas calles muy estrechas y tiene el acceso limitado a vehículos. Se puede llegar en coche hasta la casa para dejar el equipaje, mas es aconsejable estacionarlo después en un aparcamiento habilitado a tal efecto a las afueras de Soajo a escasos 5-10 minutos de la casa."

"The staff was exceptionnal and made us a full dîner even though it was very late and the kitchen was closed. The view from the private balcony is incredible."

"We loved our stay here. The views are spectacular from all areas of the property. The road up to the b&b is tricky to drive but you are rewarded when you get there so it's totally worth it! We loved the pool, quite chilly but we stayed in August when the weather called for a nice chill dip. Sitting at the edge of that pool looking out over the valley was breathtaking. There is a lovely communal balcony area to relax in the evening, or enjoy breakfast on. We liked that there were not many people there, only around 5 rooms so quite quiet, and the staff go home at night. Breakfast was simple but fine for what we wanted., and you can bring your own food to keep in the fridge in the communal areas, where there is a fully stocked kitchen and lounge to relax in. We felt welcomed and there was always wine and port to try made by the vineyard on the estate which is fab! The room was perfect, great air con, ours was very private (we had read that some rooms have an open toilet which we did see in the other rooms on the top floor so maybe if this isn't something you would like, request one on the lower floor). Th bed was comfy, felt very luxurious with branded pillows and towels, and a balcony to look out from. I would have liked a chair or two outside ideally to make the most of the balcony and to dry towels and things. It was honestly wonderful and I would absolutely stay again!"

"The Vintage House is a beautiful hotel located conveniently on the banks of the Douro River where the tour boats depart. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire hotel ,pool and grounds are wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the dining staff on the outdoor terrace provided very attentive service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the menu for lunch and dinner had a great selection of food & wine. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would highly recommend it to others."

"We have had a great time at Pena Park Hotel. Definitely recommend, good food, friendly and helpful staff. We had few activities booked at the nearby Pena Aventura and it was quite relaxing to go back to the hotel and relax by the swimming pool. We will definitely go back! Thank you Pena Park for the excellent stay"
