"Having requested a superior room with a good view, we were bowled over by the incredible views over the pool golf course and miles of countryside from the full length full height opening picture window all along one side of the room. The room itself had all the usual amenities inc kettle,safe,wi fi etc plus a full size fridge, microwave, robes and slippers. Pool area very well kept with heated pool and comfortable loungers. Spa area and jacuzzi also very inviting. Restaurant rather expensive but...

"Overnight stay enroute back to the uk, a little tricky to find, due to reliance on vehicle gps. Slight issues with checking in, due to some problems with Expedia system but no real problem. "This hotel was easy to find and although we speak no French the welcome was warm and helpful. This hotel is the old French style so is quite dark inside but there is a great terrace where an excellent meal was served. After we ordered our meal we received a small pre dinner canapé which we assumed was complimentary as all other tables were served with this treat as well. The next morning we noted it was on our account as petit dejeuner for 18 euro but the person behind the desk did not speak...

"The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"Very nice property very convenient to the ViaRhona bike path with secure bicycle storage. The room was comfortable and clean. We were able to easily walk to a grocery and wine tasting. We visited Ampuis on a Sunday when there were few restaurants open in the community, but very much enjoyed the prepared meal (cold salads, charcuterie and wine!) the hotel was able to provide for us. The breakfast was great as well. Definitely recommend for bike travelers!"

"Gave us the top floor, climbing that spiral stairs was a work out! Besides that location was good, close to port, transportation and restaurant. Public parking expensive if you have car. I would stay here again, but only if I get a first floor room."
