Very pleasant stay. We chose this hotel because it is close to the part of the river Rhone from which river cruises depart and return. It is across the bridge on the peninsula but it was an easy walk with our luggage. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage for free for several hours on the day of our cruise, when we could not board until after 3pm, and we used their services on our return (for a fee) to store our bags until the evening because we had a very late flight. The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from the nearest metro stations (either Lyon Perrache or Ampere Voctor Hugo.

Friendly staff, great spot for Xmas markets

A perfect spot for the christmas markets - 3 min walk round the corner. Easy walk to the river and across the bridge to the old town. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The rooms were very basic but comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again

We highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to us especially because our command of French is very limited. The room was charming and very comfortable, very clean and quiet. The breakfast included was perfect and made the mornings start just right. The hotel is located in a perfect area for taking advantage of great food, wonderful museums, shopping and the metro/tram is very close. If we are ever to return to Lyon, this will be our top choice in hotels. Merci beaucoup Hoteleo Charite!

The property was close to restaurants, shopping and the town. It was a busy road outside but you wouldn’t know that once inside. The breakfast was very tasty, great coffee and a good choice of breakfast items. The hotel was very stylish, I felt I had stepped back in time but with a modern twist. Great nights sleep. Parking was tight but manageable and very safe. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable hotel for short stay

I recently stayed at Hotelo for a short visit. The staff was polite and welcoming. My room, number 17, was clean and comfortable, but I did encounter a minor issue with the shower enclosure. The door didn’t fully close due to a problem with the rubber seal, causing water to leak into the bathroom and make it a bit messy. Despite this, my overall experience was positive, and the hotel is a good option for a brief stay.

Room was dirty, the bathroom smelt of urine as the toilet seat was wood and rotting. The tiles in the shower were full of mold. The room smelt. The only positives where the staff were friendly and helpful and the location is good.

Overall, the hotel was conveniently close to Perrache station, as well as various places to eat. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again, but there are one or two things I would note: 1. Breakfast was ok, but didn't think was that great. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby I would recommend more highly. 2. There is no elevator. The stairs aren't too bad, but a little steep. 3. The staff were friendly, but not all the staff spoke English that well, but did try to understand. So the use of translation apps would be useful.
