The property has a natural water supply from a borehole.. Welcome to The Coach House, a fabulous barn conversion nestled a stone’s throw from historic Totnes. It boasts stunning grounds, perfect for a game of croquet or relaxing in the quiet countryside. On stepping through the porch and into the spacious open-plan kitchen/diner, you will be immediately greeted by views to one of the al fresco dining areas through bi-fold doors. A modern, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar is the perfect space to rustle up everything from a simple breakfast to an elaborate dinner, and makes for a splendid entertainment space. Enjoy your meals or play games at the solid oak dining table, or retire to the snug area with a glass of your favourite tipple after a busy day of having fun. In the living room sit back and relax on the sumptuous sofas, and put your favourite film on the Smart TV, with surround sound, for the ultimate cinema-like experience.

When it is time to reset and recharge, head upstairs to one of the three gorgeous double bedrooms, all with oak beamed, vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, while the other two bedrooms share the family bathroom. The Coachouse has two beautiful outdoor dining areas where you can enjoy coffee and croissants in the morning sun, and tapas on the terrace beside the stream in the evening as the sun sets on another wonderful day in Devon!

The ancient town of Totnes, just 2 miles away, has a range of quirky independent shops and bistros, and is a vibrant and interesting place to visit, especially on Fridays when the market comes to town. The South Devon coastline is close at hand and has many beautiful beaches and coves, scenic walks and pretty villages, including Blackpool Sands and Slapton. Enjoy a day out in the riverside marine town of Dartmouth, and take a cruise along the river to Totnes or the ferry across to Kingswear and the quaint fishing town of Brixham, then ride on the steam train to Paignton or Buckfastleigh.

Within easy reach are the English Riviera resorts of Paignton and Torquay, the boating and sailing centre of Salcombe on the estuary, and the historic town of Dartmouth, nestling on the banks of the River Dart. Woodlands Fun Park is a great tourist attraction and fun day out for families, as is Dartmoor National Park, with its hundreds of acres of wild rugged moorland, both about 6 miles away. Close to Dartmouth, you can play golf on an 18-hole championship course.

A wonderful break in a beautiful property

My family and I were really delighted with the Coach House which is in a beautiful location just a few minutes from Totnes. The property had everything we could have wanted and we would definitely rebook if we were to holiday in Devon in the future. Many thanks to Giles for all of his helpful contacts during our stay.
