Most of Horn Island is protected by Native Title, but King Point has been designated as a recreational area so you can picnic, fish and camp. Imagine walking out of your tent to this view??!!

Bringing a car across to Horn Island is hugely expensive so you're best way to get here is by foot on the ferry from Thursday Island and catch a taxi or take a tour to get around.

The only way to get to Thursday Island is by ferry - either from the Mainland or Horn Island, which has an airport. Peddels runs a twice-daily ferry service from Seisia at Cape York. It takes a little over an hour and on a good day you'll have a smooth trip and gorgeous views!

Green Hill Fort is a former military base. You can walk around the base and there's a museum in the underground buildings, which you might need to join a tour to see.
There's a great view of the neighbouring Torres Strait Islands - just look at that water!!

Motel was cool & comfortable. Great bed & good TV. A little expensive. TI has very limited dining options. Shame not at least 1 good restaurant other than the pubs. Overall a memorable place to visit

Great room and great location. Great amenities in the room and guest services was very helpful. The only suggestion I have is to provide a water bottle filling station, recycling bins in the rooms, and a dish drainer for the kitchenette for drying dishes. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Nice location in a very walkable city. 2 BR with one bath is a bit tight for a family of 4 with only 1 bathroom by Australian apartment standards. Furnishing felt abit well-used. Good view of Kangaroo Point from our 60th floor.
