Very convenient for access to public transit. Noise from trolleys was muted, not a problem. Unit is quiet if you're alone, but you can hear talking in the second unit if there are guests. Earplugs provided on kitchen table. The stairs up to the unit are very steep, (noted in the description). There is no handrail, so my aging mother required assistance to get up and down. The unit was comfortable overall, good climate control. It was clean enough, but the lesser used surfaces were pretty dusty, and the whole thing, including entry stairway, needs a deep clean for details like the washer/dryer, baseboards, walls, top of the fridge. Feels somewhat cheap and beat up. We only found two towels at checkin, so we went out and bought more, then found all of the clean towels in the dryer. Floor is soft and sloping in two places, including right in front of the stove and sink. Most of the pots and pans are stored in the cabinet in the living room. We had a problem with young tenants in the second unit, who threw a big, loud party all night. Unfortunately the deck areas for the two units share a common lattice wall, which is easy to climb. Partiers left trash on our deck and we found 4 of them out there in the morning looking for something they had lost overnight during the party. Deck floor is brittle and deteriorating. Recommend booking directly through UpStay instead of dealing with both them and VRBO--it was a hassle. Might stay again (price, location) but not first choice.
