Small cabin in a beautiful location. It is only a short walk to the lake. It isnt fancy (no hot tub or game room). Perfect for small families looking to fish and just hang out.
We had an excellent experience! By far the best cabin we've stayed in on our annual trip to the Smokies. Very clean and comfortable. We're already planning our next trip in April and hope to stay here again.
A super comfy cabin with a great location!! My wife, pup, and I thoroughly enjoyed staying the weekend here, only complaint is that we wish we stayed longer! Our host Trudy was excellent and was quick to answer all our inquiries! Looking forward to booking again very soon to make more memories!
Great little cabin with all the necessities for a short stay.
Very private, cute neighborhood with walking trails, fishing pond and wonderful views. Nice little lake across the road. Dog friendly trails and area. Recommend for anyone looking for peace and quiet.
Enjoyed our stay.
Our trip was the best ever. Although it was the coldest weather we had been in, it was so exciting to see the ice in the river and the snow on the side of the roads to the cabin. The cabin was so cute and perfect. Everything was so pretty and the decor was perfect for the setting.
Wonderful quiet retreat with a bubbling stream right by the cabin. Hubby fished in the small lake that was walking distance from the cabin. My favorite was the campfire at night by the stream. Everything except food was provided. We loved it and will be back again!
This cabin and adjoining property are amazing - we are already planning another trip. Please be aware, however, that town is about 30 minutes away, so be smarter than us when it comes to packing all your supplies! The cabin is neat and tidy, and has all you need to make meals. There is a perfect tree grove to hang a hammock, and make sure to bring carrots for the horses next door!
We have stayed here 3 times. It is serene and beautiful. This isn't a fancy cabin with all the bells and whistles....which is what we love about it. It is clean, comfortable and in a gorgeous location. All the basic necessities are there. Pack all of your meals to save the need to travel the whole time. We look forward to next year.
We loved our stay in this magical cabin! It was the perfect location for a quiet, short trip to the mountains. The house had everything we needed for our weekend. The only negative was the mattress on the pull-out sofa. With 2 adults and two teens we needed to use the sofa, but the mattress was more like springs wrapped in plastic. If this is replaced the place would be perfect!
We have stayed in fancy cabins n in resorts around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This time we wanted something more real, rustic with character. We wanted a cabin away from everything except nature. This fit the bill. The property is so beautiful. Nature was on full display. Property manager Trully was amazing, very sweet, and great communication throughout our stay. If we come back to this area we will definitely come back to this cabin.
The log cabin location was perfect for us. My husband could walk or drive to cast a line into Queens Lake or the fishing pond on the Mystic Forest property. We saw very few people and cars during the week we were there. The sound of the clear stream by the house was a consistent source of peace and beauty. We felt very free and safe from the Covid 19 Virus that is currently a threat. Having use of the internet was a plus.
The location of this little mountain gem is amazing!!!! You could here the steady stream of water as it moved down the stream - so beautiful. Sitting on the front porch we watched hummingbirds flying from tree to tree as if they were putting on a show just for us. Queens Creek is a short distance away for fishing. Going up and down the mountain was not a problem - sometimes deer were along the roadside. I could go on and on!!!We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Very nice cabin
Pros: Nice small community with several options to explore, small pond, walking trails, nearby small lake, gated. Cabin was clean, has a pretty creek right next to the cabin. Basic supplies. Trudy gave prompt response with a problem. Beautiful area of NC.
Cons: Don't even think about making this drive if you get car sick or you don't like driving on very winding and narrow roads (as you approach the cabin). The mattresses are hard, way too hard for a comfortable night sleep for us. Both on the main bed and the trundle bed. No close places to eat, so be sure to plan to cook some meals and bring the food with you.
We booked a cabin, drove 5 hours there, arrived at 8:30 at night to find somebody staying in the cabin. We had to drive 30 min. back out for reception to call the host. She finally called us back and apologized and blamed it on the owner of the property. Our money was immediately refunded except for the insurance policy purchased. I am being told that I can't be compensated for my time lost and the gas spent driving.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The cabin was very cute and clean. A/C was advertised, but non-existent. The temperature was not bad, so it wasn’t a huge issue.
Little things like creamer for coffee and salt and pepper would be a good addition to the kitchen.
The outdoor fire pit was awesome.
My biggest complaint is that we didn’t see the email about not using GPS until after we got up to the cabin and the GPS took us a dangerous way. This information needs to be on the description. For example, please say that the host will send you directions right on the description of the site. Once we knew the correct way to get up there, it was a safe and easy route.
Overall, once we got settled in and had the correct directions up to the cabin, it was a great experience.
Also, being close to the Nantahala Outdoor Center was a huge plus.
We loved the rustic cottage that was nestled inside a gated community and beside a beautiful little mountain stream! The house was equipped so we can cook our meals and the heating was very warm. Firewood and fire starting material was provided for the outdoor fire pit which sat beside the stream. A very nice Ingles grocery store was located 30 minutes away in the small town of Andrews. There was a cold draft in the bedroom coming from a window that would not close properly. There was a heater nearby that helped keep it warm. We loved the location because it was far enough away to help you feel secluded but within reasonable driving distance of Bryson city, Nantahala outdoor center, and Franklin. The hot water heater worked well, the washer and dryer were a real bonus and the bedding was very comfortable. If you want more options on the TV you may want to bring your own Roku or fire stick. We did this and were able to enjoy the selections much more. The Wi-Fi was very intermittent during rain however when the rain stopped it seem to work fine. There was no cell service with Verizon or T-Mobile, therefore requiring Wi-Fi calling.
