"The counter staff were very friendly, the hotel seemed new, and the rooms and areas I encountered were clean. There were two light switches by the door but only the one with a label of Master did anything. What it did was turn on the main light AND the fan. I couldn't have that light on without the fan. Believe me, I tried. I can only assume the fan is to block the sound from the rooms next door; when the fan was off I could hear my neighbor burp. Thankfully my neighbors were otherwise pretty quiet. I went outside to make a personal call so I wouldn't disturb them (it was after midnight) or have them overhear my conversation. All the money that goes in to building these hotels but they won't put some sound proofing between the walls? Seems very shortsighted. But I guess there's the fan to block out the noise... if I wanted to sleep with the light on."

"The staff was amazing the lady that checked me was so helpful interpersonal skills made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. I would stay agin just to be serviced by her. The cleaning staff was very helpful. The breakfast was okay not many options. Overall it was a very nice stay"

"Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Residence Inn at Steele Creek. We booked a king-size bedroom with a pull-out sofa for one night before flying out of CLT the next morning. Our room was on the first floor directly across from the patio/pool access hallway. The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom shower did look like it could use some cosmetic repairs. Overall, the grounds were well-maintained, but some people on the patio may have been smoking, as the smell carried into the 1st-floor hallway. We left at 5 am and did not get a chance to partake in breakfast, but we were pleased with our experience otherwise. The hotel was in a safe area and very convenient for us to drive to the airport from. We would definitely consider staying here again."
