"Stayed here for two nights. Checkin: Easy, friendly staff, no issues Room: Quite spacious, was clean, room made up nicely. Nothing outstanding, but nothing terrible either. Bed: Fine, plenty of pillows which is always a win, it did roll a round a bit and a bit uneven, but certainly has worse. Bathroom: The towel rack in my room was bent, the shower pressure and heat good. The soap/shampoo/conditioner was in a terrible location which really narrowed the space where you were standing. The shower screen was almost non existent, so the bathroom got really wet easy. Towels were thin, not overly white but clean. TV: Nothing to write home with Parking: Cramped, but fine. Closeness to Location: I was down to use the Lawn Bowls club, so couldn’t ask for closer really. Food: Pub grub was fine, nothing to write home about but not terribleZ Overall: was basically what i expected, no frills clean tidy safe."

"We stayed in June (winter) so may have felt different due to the cold weather. I can imagine staying in the summer more opportunity to use all the facilities available including the outdoor pools, basketball courts, and outdoor spaces. The restaurant was not open on the days we were there (Sunday evening arrival, stayed Monday). Our purpose was to see the penguins so we didn't mind too much. Cowes is very close and has lots of supermarkets to pick up needed items if necessary. There is water dispenser on site. Each room is an individual cabin - it's quite comfortable and has most of what you need (basic utensils). There is lots of wildlife so lots of rodent droppings on the patio making it a bit less fun to hang out to eat outside. The pizza place is good and the washer and dryer were super handy and they give a few packs of starter detergent. It was cold but there is a heater and if you turn it all the way up it heated up the place well. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. They do try to sell you on the timeshares with free breakfast and a $50 voucher so just beware -they weren't super pushy about it or anything."

"Great friendly service from start to finish. The food was quick and tasted great. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Great value for money. Bath was huge - a bit weirdly shaped (couldn’t relax as the internal shape just slid you down under the water). Mattress was a bit uncomfortable- bed felt a bit humped. As we were walking out my partner asked me how I had slept and I commented the pillow didn’t suit me. The lady in the service room overheard and offered to change my pillows for me. Offered me the choice of two. Was so lovely and helpful - a real standout to us. (And yes the pillow on second night was much better - thank you)."
