Accommodation near Tongass Historical Museum

The Inn at Creek Street
2.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (262)
"We stayed at he "New York" location, just on the other side of Creek Street. We loved this part of The Inn, it was really close to everything, cute rooms in a century old hotel. The best part was all the folks working there. Sara picked us up at the ferry and was so nice and helpful. Austin was equally wonderful. A lovely view of the horbour (when not blocked by a cruise ship). Such a wonderful experience!"

Cottage On The Water
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (48)
"Owners have done a nice job of dressing up an older cottage. Was a great landing spot to adventure out of. We didn't spend much time at the place (weather was excellent). Whales, sea lions, and salmon right below the deck. For less mobile people, the access to the water really would be challenging (steep steps and rocky surfaces), but for us and our children it was fine. Nice parks right down the road to accommodate easier access as desired. Not much privacy from neighbors (on either...

Don't book a place, book an Alaskan Adventure on an 85 foot Super Yacht
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (17)
"We had a terrific stay on the Lady Faye - we are a family of 4 with 2 teen boys ( age 17 and 13). This is a beautiful ship in an incredible setting - we had coffee in the AM watching floatplanes and cruise ships glide by - in the evening seals and sea lions coupled with fishing cruisers coming and going was beautiful. Russell was very kind and accommodating and had nice touches like breakfast supplies and wine on arrival. The boat was very clean, beds very comfy and cozy, safely docked in a...

Luxury Craftsman Downtown Lodging
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (3)
"This basement apartment was the perfect cozy spot for my husband and I. We woke up and could see the cruise ship from the kitchen window. The bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. We didn’t use the kitchen during our short stay but it looked well stocked and the coffee was great in the morning. The pictures sent of the entrance were helpful in locating this basement spot. We would stay again."

Angler's Dream. Waterfront Island Home. Private dock. Rental boat. Hot Tub.
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (73)
"The views from the property were so beautiful. The house had everything that we needed. Kim was a very good host and got back quickly to me anytime I had a question. It was a true Alaska experience. Too bad the hot tub was not working because it sure would’ve been nice to soak after a long day on the boat. Also, I thought being secluded on an island would be amazing. Don’t get me wrong, It was very nice but at the same time it was a lot of work. The only water is water and catchment system and...

Coho Bungalow - Ketchikan Alaska
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"The coho bungalow fit 6 adults fine--2 baths, 1shower, plenty of sleeping room . Close enough to town to walk everywhere. . the area around it looks like a bad college dorm area--houses in bad shape, junk outside--but if you don't look at that, its a great location, inside very nice and good value. steep parking but you can park at end of hill for free.. "This was our first stay in a vrbo/bnb and it did not disappoint. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The apartment is nicely done with big windows to look out at the ocean. The view was beautiful and the whales were incrediable to watch. We loved having a washer/dryer to use and the apartment was stocked with a few miscellaneous items to use for cooking, laundry or bathing. That was very helpful. Salmon Run Vacation Rental!
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (14)
"Incredibly beautiful Herring Cove. Eight and one half mile south of Ketchikan. Right on the water. We caught salmon, had a bear amble through the yard at twilight. Saw a humpback whale breach over and over. Caught huge , delicious Dungeness crab. What a fantastic week and for our family the perfect walk down memory lane. Fifty years ago we lived here "

Spacious 1 Bedroom Apartment
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"As I told you when I rented your VRBO this is my first experience doing so. I didn't ask sufficient questions and learned from that experience. For instance, I didn't know that the bathroom door was installed backwards and the a person could be trapped in the bathroom in a fire if the freezer door opened during that type of event. I neglected to ask it there were end tables and lights in the living area. I didn't ask if there was a step-up into the shower and no handles on that wall. I didn't...

Modern Stay With an Alaskan Ocean View
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"Everything was exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Location requires a rental car, but since we had one, it worked just fine. We enjoyed being so close to Herring Cove where we could watch the bears and eagles first thing every morning, and last thing every evening. Can't walk to the ocean, as the forest is too thick. View is beautiful, tho."
