The place was perfect for 2 people. We spent a lot of time in the afternoons out on the deck watching people from the cruise ships. Location was great. Easy walk to downtown. A bit more challenging coming back, but you can get a cab to bring you back up the hill. Would definitely stay here again.
Great property with number of great ammenities. Well provisioned kitchen and very comfortable.
Nice balcony overlooking the docs with an absolutely awesome view.
Property manager super responsive. Will definitely plan to stay again.
As long as you can get your luggage up and down a series of outdoor slip-resistant steps, you will love this rental! The quality of the amenities and decor along with the view and convenient location are all great! It is super nice to be able to walk to so many places from this location. The host is super nice!
We loved our Memorial Day weekend stay in Viewtopia! Clean, comfortable, well appointed, and if you love sitting on the deck watching cruise ships, this is the place for you.
Close enough to downtown that we left our car parked and walked to dinner, shopping, etc. Drove to Settler's Cove for hiking, and to Herring Cove to look for bears (a little bit too early yet).
We really enjoy Ketchikan and will definitely stay in Viewtopia again.
This was a stopover on our trip. Many times you book something on the Internet, and when you get there it is nothing like what you booked.
This place was better than the booking! Fantastic view, is close to everything, and is very clean.
Thank you Vrbo!
This VRBO has a panoramic view of the Ketchikan harbor as advertised. This unit is perfect for a couple. We didn't have a vehicle during our stay, so we walked a lot. There are steep hills and lots of stairs which should be considered if that is an issue. Taxi service is reasonable and responsive if needed. We visited during the off-tourist season but were able to find several nice places to eat.
I don't even know where to start! The view is AMAZING... Plenty of parking... Having the washer and dryer made our packing easier as we didn't need 11 days worth of clothes... The book Mindy put together with cool locations to check out, menus & great restaurant ideas was sooo useful!!! We only ate out twice and cooked there everyday and we never needed any pot, pan or utensil that wasn't already in the kitchen. Viewtopia is so
comfortable it was like coming "home" after our busy days, not just like "somewhere to sleep on vacation". Our flight left out late in the day and Mindy was fine with us checking out later than 10 am. We love Ketchikan and WILL be back... so, we will see Mindy again & we can't wait!
Our new go-to place to stay whenever we return to Ketchikan. Everything about the place was exactly as described - very bright and airy with all the comforts of home, plus outstanding views - and exceeded our expectations!
Loved this darling place with the fantastic view. Everything I needed…comfy, cozy. Easy to walk to everything…if you don’t mind stairs and hills! Fun to watch the cruise ships come in to dock. Ketchikan is a charming quirky town. I hope I get to come back someday. Highly recommend these hosts.
From start to finish…..AMAZING!! Check-in went seamlessly. We had everything and more to get us started. The views were breathtakingly beautiful from our front window/deck. The area was in the middle of everything that we wanted to see and do! We would most definitely stay here again when we return!
This apartment was perfect for the 3 of us. Owner was very attentive and property was very clean. Location is wonderful. And the view from the deck is amazing. Would for sure stay again.
It sits above town with awesome views but a 10 minute walk to downtown, docks... Super well maintained, huge windows and a nice deck... Host was on property and super friendly.
The apartment was exactly like the photos. Very comfy. Very close to the historic district. Easily walkable. The view out the huge picture window was spectacular-loved watching the hustle and bustle of the cruise ships in the morning and the sparkle of the evening.
Thank you Mindy. Your rental over all was nice with a great view. However, thiis s a place for couples who sleep together. We probably needed a two bedroom. I was expecting a pull out couch in the living room not a futon. If your a couple and in good health I would definitely recomend this unit but not if you cant walk hills and stairs. Cheers!
In Ketchikan for a week to meet our son at the finish line of the R2AK (Race to Alaska) ocean sailing race. Mindy and Andrew, and their children, are a delight, such kind and wonderful hosts. They live onsite. Mindy gladly offered and shared with us anything we might be missing. The apartment we had (one of two they rent) was two floors beneath their own home, all on a steep hill, so each unit has spectacular views. Many steps down, many steps back up, so 'ify' only if stairs are a problem. Scrupulously clean, well-equipped, great bed, amazing view, great internet for working remotely.
Our son was able to stay on the excellent pull-out in the living room, which could have accommodated two 'cozily'. Super-close to downtown - 6 houses' walk, then down a city-owned stairway, where the downtown shuttle and longer-range city buses stop. Alternatively, only a short cab ride from almost everything. A real find. My only hesitation...it may well become hard to book because it's such a stellar spot, and Mindy + family are such stellar hosts. Andrew and Barbara Roberts
