"We were fortunate to book this hotel and had a wonderful stay. It is outside of Kochi city, but we had a car making it convenient to explore the area. It happened to be the fall training camp for the Hanshin Tigers. Hotel guests received a pass to see the players leave for camp in the mornings. Such a treat. The breakfast was amazing and with a view of the ocean. The Spa was comfortable and because we stayed two nights they move male/female baths so we could try both. "

"The staff was very nice and helpful. It had a communal kitchen and a communal bathroom with a kind of onsen or basically a big bathtub with hot springwater to be used by multiple people. It is right above the vine bridge so it’s in central area, but there’s not much in this area in the way of dining options. We went down the street and was able to get some simple food. I don’t know if I would’ve booked it if I’d known it had a communal bathroom. it was clean though and surprisingly it didn’t get congested even though there were other guests there. we met some interesting people there which you usually don’t get to meet at the big hotels. The beds are japanese style and the walls are very thin. There was a lot of dampness in the rooms, but I don’t think anyone can help that since it’s a pretty damp area of the world. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a very beautiful part of the world."

"If you are arriving by train, this property is about a 15 minute walk from Kochi station, which for Kochi is a fairly short walk. The location is also right next to a bus terminal, with a couple tram stops nearby as well. Good shopping is a close walk, and the castle is also only a 15 minute walk. As far as Kochi goes, this is probably as walkable as it gets. As for the property, it is a bit older, and while the hallway had a strange smell, the room smelled fine, was clean, and had good air conditioning. Moreover, they did daily cleaning, which is always nice. Overall I thought this was a good hotel, especially for the price."
