Meningie Homestead: Enjoy a country getaway on the banks of the Tambo River

"We stayed with my parents, my siblings, and our kids. It was the perfect relaxing getaway to spend some real quality time, and shut off from the rest of the world. The house was a perfect size to either spend time together, or take some time for yourself, or split off into smaller groups. Any questions I had were answered either same day or next, which was terrific. Would highly recommend for family or friends to get away for summer peace and quiet."

"This is an absolutely lovely property. It was spotlessly clean and surrounded by a beautiful verandah with lovely views out over the garden and the Tambo. The house was very spacious and the deep bath a real treat. Heating was very effective on the cold days we stayed. Communication with Kristy was proactive and excellent. Would love to visit in the summer with the garden in bloom and an excuse to relax on the verandah with a vino. Thanks Kristy."

"Fantastic host, man met us at the gate and welcomed us in, had a bonfire lit ready for our stay. Gave us plenty of recommendations and was a great help. Quiet location on a bush block and close to Lakes Entrance. The tiny house had everything we needed, will definitely be staying again."

"The bedding hadn't been changed in a while, found hairs on pillows & on sheets. Lucky we took our own pillows & blankets. The DVD player didn't work and I needed to google how to operate the set top box for the tv. Needs better cooling even with the fans & aircon it was still hot in the property The area was beautiful, the caves was the reason for going there. Not much choice with food, the pubs lack of choice was disappointing. The general store wasn't the greatest either to shop at to cook a decent meal. shopping in a major town before heading is highly recommended. "
