The best area to stay in Tijarafe is the village centre itself, particularly for travellers who appreciate convenience and a local feel.

The village centre of Tijarafe is a compact area, with most amenities centred around the main square, Plaza de Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria, and the surrounding streets like Calle Real. Here, you'll find the church, a few local shops, and traditional eateries. It's a good base for exploring the more rural parts of the municipality and offers a sense of local life.

For couples looking for a tranquil escape with stunning views, properties scattered across the hillsides just outside the main village are ideal. These often come as private villas or rural houses, providing privacy and direct access to hiking trails and the natural landscape. You'll find these along roads like LP-1, offering breathtaking vistas of the coastline and the Atlantic Ocean.

Families might find a rural house or villa in the areas surrounding the village to be a good fit. These properties typically offer more space, often with private pools and gardens, which are great for children to play in.

The best time to visit Tijarafe is generally during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the natural beauty of La Palma. You'll also find that the island is less crowded than during the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will appreciate the tranquil atmosphere and comfortable weather for enjoying scenic walks along the coast or exploring the charming villages without the hustle and bustle. The clear skies during these months are also superb for stargazing, a popular activity given La Palma's status as a Starlight Reserve.

Solo travellers seeking adventure and good weather for hiking will find these months perfect.
