"Short staffed "

"This is a huge five star hotel with a beautiful ambiance, however the service does not match the five star rating at all. Our rooms were beautiful with a picturesque ocean view. As expected, it was clean and comfortable. However, in a hot place like Hoi An, not providing unlimited water is not acceptable when even 3 star hotels do this. Coming to the breakfast, the spread is huge with very limited vegetarian and vegan options. Nothing is labeled either. However. The chefs made vegan food for us on request. But it would be really helpful to mention which dishes are vegetarian/vegan. This is the least the hotel can do when they charge so much for breakfast!!! The most disappointing part of this Hotel is that the staff lacks training. Even when we paid for the breakfast upfront, they took a lot of time for the restaurant to check from the reception if the payment was made or not. Further, some staff provided us with wrong information on the prices. This is very inefficient and not expected from a five star hotel. Also, for a five star hotel, the bathroom lacked basic amenities such as bidets which almost all the other hotels have. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and luxurious. However, for the same price I have stayed in much better hotels in Vietnam. I only recommend this property for the ocean view rooms and nothing else. "

"The property was lovely, rooms clean and spacious, well-groomed gardens and a nice pool area. The pool was very busy most days so it wasn’t always possible to get a lounge chair. There was often only one attendant working so with the pool so busy the service was slower than you’d expect for the price you pay here. The restaurant had some of the poorest food we have had in Vietnam, at very high prices compared to what you would pay elsewhere for a fantastic meal. My partner became ill after eating the dinner buffet (I am vegetarian so didn’t eat from the buffet and I didn’t get sick). The shuttle bus into Hoi An old town was convenient however one of the times I called ahead to book it and when we arrived at the allotted time they did not have us on the list. Overall just a very average experience for a very high price ticket. This venue is definitely catering to a western audience with its pricing but didn’t live up to the standard we expect. "

"Although the room and general facilities were ok, the air-conditioning is not very efficient, small maintenance is required, ie loose door handles, and options like free bikes unavailable due to all having flat tyres. Given the low occupancy would have been nice to be given the option for an upstairs room with view. On the upside pool is amazing and free included breakfast is plentiful with good options"
