Thanks for the hospitality!

The property is lush and beautiful. The pool is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. The food isn’t the best. Part of traveling is experiencing local cuisine and they are clearly trying to take care of western tourists. Totally fine - you can feel they to this to accommodate us. They are very clearly so service oriented!

If like us you are staying for a night to go to Yala for safari, then this hotel is perfectly fine! We ate dinner elsewhere but did appreciate the packed breakfast the hotel gave us for our morning safari. The room was fine and had everything you needed, although our room was directly opposite the dining room so curtains had to be shut the whole time. There was quite a few bad smells, damp smell in the room, sewage smell outside etc, but it didn’t ruin our stay.

Good hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very nice. The pool area is also a plus. Great restaurant down the street called Chef Lady. One of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. Only downside is that the wifi did not work well and the bar was as closed the entire time during our stay. Otherwise, a great stay!
