What to do in St. Thomas

Miami Beach, also known as Enterprise Beach, is a beach of two halves, located just 11 kilometres south of Bridgetown. It has calm waters on the one side and ocean swell on the other. During the week, Miami Beach is peaceful and uncrowded.

Seven kilometres south along the broad coastline from Bridgetown, Dover Beach has an array of sports on offer that set it apart from any other beach on Barbados. Above the surface, speed over the waves on a jet ski or gently surf over the blue depths on a bodyboard. Dive beneath the surface and marvel at the myriad of coloured tropical fish, which dart in and out of the coral and shipwrecks, as well as other fascinating marine life that will keep you exploring throughout the day.

With its pink coral, ground to a soft, fine powder and towering cliffs protecting a sheltered cove and a reef out to sea breaking the waves, Crane Beach is 400 metres of pure paradise. The sand is soft and the water perfectly clear. Accra, also known as Rockley Beach, five kilometres south of Bridgetown, on the south coast of Barbados has a relaxed, laid-back vibe. It also just happens to be one of the island’s most spectacular beaches.

All day long, the sun shines down on Mullins Beach in the northwest of Barbados. From the glorious sunrise to the staggeringly beautiful sunset across the sea, Mullins Beach is a beach-lovers’ paradise. Far from the madding crowds and bustle of Bridgetown, it is also an oasis of tranquillity.

Over thousands of years, dripping rainwater gradually eroded the limestone rock of northern Barbados, forming vast underground caverns. When the roof of one of these caves collapsed more than 200 years ago, it created a secret rainforest valley, full of verdant life. Lush green moss thrives on the cool rocks of the collapsed cave. Here you’ll hear the gentle rustle of leaves and chattering birds, while you enjoy the peaceful and calm atmosphere.
