1. Dover Beach

Seven kilometres south along the broad coastline from Bridgetown, Dover Beach has an array of sports on offer that set it apart from any other beach on Barbados. Above the surface, speed over the waves on a jet ski or gently surf over the blue depths on a bodyboard. Dive beneath the surface and marvel at the myriad of coloured tropical fish, which dart in and out of the coral and shipwrecks, as well as other fascinating marine life that will keep you exploring throughout the day.

6. Paradise Beach

In 1976, the 111-metre Greek freight ship SS Stavronikita set sail from Ireland to the Caribbean. Nearly at its final destination, the ship caught fire and was eventually towed to Barbados. After cleaning and salvaging, the Barbados Parks and Beach Commission sunk the vessel to create a unique wreck for diving. Over 350 metres off the shore near Paradise Beach, the SS Stavronikita is a treasure trove for divers.
