If it's your first time travelling during COVID-19  you'll notice a range of new regulations and rules in place. Follow these tips and make your escape to The Waterways go off without a hitch:

• Before committing to anything, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Get the latest updates by reviewing government websites.
• When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to lower it briefly to verify your identity. Those who refuse to wear a mask may be denied entry or boarding.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will have to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, place personal items such as your phone and loose change into your carry-on rather than into the bins.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
