With strict COVID-19 precautions in place, travel looks a bit different right now. These are some helpful things to know before you pack your bags for The Navigators Route:

• Know the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• When you pass through airport checkpoints, keep your face mask on. You will be required to briefly lower it to verify your identity. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied entry.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should position the pass on the reader and then hold it up for inspection.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on luggage. You'll need to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Put any personal items (e.g, wallet, keys and phone) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• If you're planning to take food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
