"This was our first time staying at the Marshal House. We were able to check in early and park in the public garage behind the hotel. Very convenient and cheaper than the valet parking. They offered free water, coffee and tea all day. They provided a wine and cheese happy hour everyday between 5 and 6:30 with entertainment. Breakfast each morning. Great location for walking everywhere. Very historic building and very welcoming! "

"Our breakfast was atrocious. There was one waiter for the entire restaurant. There were two employees at the hostess stand doing nothing except talking to each other while I waited 10 minutes for a cup of coffee, another 10 minutes for cream and sugar, another 10 minutes for our breakfast, another 10 minutes for salt and pepper (went and found it myself)! I couldn’t believe those two employees just stood there while the waiter ran through the restaurant trying to serve everyone."

"Folks, face it, this is a Quality Inn, not the Marriot. That said, this location is super convenient to the river and Bay Street and very affordable. Sure, the decor is aged and dated, but for a one-night stay with my pup, it was fine. Speaking of traveling with a pup, it had the lowest pet fee in the area. There is also a park next door for dog business. Check in was easy, parking was easy. "

"OH MY GOODNESS! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! SPECTACULAR! The yard and home are beautiful. I received a very warm welcome from Chemise. She served delicious breakfasts in the dining room every morning and was always available if I needed anything. Outside there are garden areas with chairs and tables. It was wonderful to sit and relax while hearing their water fountains. Amethyst Garden Inn is in a great neighborhood. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops and tourist spots.
