"The staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean. The propert was in terrible condition. There were 2 locks for each room door. The key only worked in one of the locks so we were given another room. Some window screens were disconnected from the frames, wallpaper was peeling in multiple places, paint was peeling off the wooden chairs outside the rooms, dead plants in pots, weeds everywhere, the bathroom fan made a terrible noise when you turned it off, the tub faucet leaked, and when taking a shower water came out of the faucet as if filling the tub. Obviously, we will not recommend the Redwood.to anyone.and request a refund."

Staff was friendly. Location cant beat- across from Nicelys and close to Tioga Pass"

"Wanted to love this hotel. All went well initially, the hotel was almost empty for my Thursday check in…but the staff chose to put a couple in the room right next to mine when the hotel was almost empty otherwise. The couple was loud till ~11 pm then I had to listen to them having s*x first thing in the morning through the thin walls. Staff could have easily spread the guests out amongst their rooms but did not. Cleaning crew was also extremely loud in the mining: not the work they were doing(that would be understandable), but talking and yelling loudly. Not a lot of respect for guests’ peace and quiet in this otherwise tranquil environment."

Heater vent rattles in the wind all night long, no interior/ exterior seating, no ice, Tv is great if you like watching shopping network and the weather, exterior of the building is deteriorating. Room was clean, firm bed, coffee with sugar. The desk clerk had difficulty with communicating."
