"The property was superb. Spacious, classy, well appointed. The hosts have not missed a beat. Everything you could want was provided, & was superior quality, even down to the shampoo & conditioner! The kitchen far surpassed any expectations with stylish crockery & cutlery & all the gadgets associated with a luxury getaway! Complimentary wifi with access to Netflix, Stan, You Tube, etc etc. The location was ideal. Close to shops, beaches, restaurants etc literally, yet metaphorically it felt...

"This is a cute cabin in a quiet location for a restful stay yet close enough to local amenities. The owners really make you feel at home and go out of their way to give you hints & tips on how to make the most of your trip including beaches, bush walks & dining spots. Over New years the suggestion for local fireworks spots was great & a highlight for the kids. Overall a clean, cosy, well appointed cabin perfect for young families."

"Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie."

"We stayed just one night but was a beautiful quiet property. Very clean, nice welcoming host. We enjoyed our night. The property is out of hustle and bustle. Short drive to terrigal and avoca. The owners gorgeous horse walked over to fence to say goodbye to us in the morning!"

"Overall 4/5. ‘Cody’ is accurate. Watertight during massive 2-day rain event, that’s a huge plus! Exterior proximity lights for deck outside cabin are not automatic. One kitchen light over fridge worked intermittently. No feedback sheet left for us, or I would use it not contact host in public like this. VRBO booking link to host not working. Cleanliness, attention to detail: bathroom bin had no liner bag & had not been emptied from previous guests, nearly full eeeeew, cleaning fee $$ is paid...

"My partner and I booked the place for a couples retreat. Unfortunately we broke up and needed to cancel the reservations. Even though we gave 2 weeks notice we were advised there’s a strict no cancellation rule… We decided to go anyway and make the most of it. We arrived at night and it was pitch black. It took us 20 minutes of hunting around before we found the keys. The owner would take their time getting back to us so we were locked outside in the cold. We were told no smoking or else...

"Always a lovely stay, fantastic for kids, lovely staff, the rooms are clean, the kitchen has the necessities, the facilities give hours of fun for kids. In summer there's a cafe cart, the local cafes and clubs and pubs are fantastic. Bowling club in walking distance. We've been before and will go again. Ocean cabins have views and ocean sounds, amazing. 8 mins drive from the Entrance."
