"Everything was perfect at La Chaize. This was our third time and the reception still took time to explain about access, breakfast and all that we needed to know to get the best from the hotel. The Gentleman on reception took us to our room, which was at the rear of the main hotel building. "Good basic chain hotel. Comfortable. Lift. Breakfast was a bit expensive at €12 but good selection and staff tolerant of late eaters! Shower floor slippery (as per usual: i carry a mat with me now that I'm old and fragile). 7 mins walk (uphill) from station which is itself right in town centre by the old port."
