The architecture of the newer buildings (restaurant, coffee shop, tea house) is really nice and modern and fits wonderfully in with the rustic feel and look of the old tobacco barns. "Not what i was expecting for $273 USD. The furniture and accessories were cheap or old (apart from a brand new refrigerator). There was construction right next to our room and our view consisted of a few trees, a tired, old, swimming pool some distant mountains and a giant construction site. The room is not regularly used as evidenced by the dusty cabinets, few amenities and a broken jacuzzi tub. The hotel is understaffed and distant. "Arrived late on a Tuesday and things were dark and office unmanned but soon sorted by the manager. We awoke to find the darkness was hiding a hidden delight literally 400m from the bustling 108 road. A lovely tranquil setting, comfortable suites, extremely friendly staff with wonderful food make this a lovely place to come outside the hurly burly of downtown Chiang Mai. Airport about 45 minutes drive away. Great for all the attractions in the south like Mae Weng, Doi Inthanon and others."
