Blue Mesa 2 sits on Sunset Plaza in the car-free Mountain Village Core, with something to do outside the door in every season. In winter it is ski in ski out to Lift 1 and Lift 10. In summer, the free Sunset Concert Series plays on the plaza on Wednesday evenings, and the free gondola, about a 3-minute walk, rides up to hiking and biking trails or over the ridge to the Town of Telluride. In fall, it glides over aspen groves turning gold.
Inside, the two-story great room has tall windows and a gas fireplace in a wood-clad wall under a 30-foot steel chimney, and the patio looks out over Sunset Plaza to the gondola and the San Sophia range.

LOCATION
Blue Mesa stands on Sunset Plaza in the Mountain Village Core, beside the top of Lift 1 and the Meadows run. Sunset Plaza faces west, so it gets long afternoon sun and sunsets. Restaurants and shops are a short walk through the village, and the free gondola reaches the Town of Telluride in about 13 minutes.
THROUGH THE SEASONS
Summer: Sunset Plaza is home to the free Sunset Concert Series on Wednesday evenings, and Market on the Plaza fills nearby Heritage Plaza on Wednesdays with local produce, crafts, and live music. Ride the gondola up to San Sophia Station for hiking and cross-country biking trails, with wildflowers on the trails in midsummer. The Village Center has a free disc golf course. Downtown Telluride's festivals, including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June and the Telluride Film Festival over Labor Day weekend, are a gondola ride away.
Fall: the aspens around Mountain Village and Telluride usually peak in late September and early October, and the gondola keeps running into late October.
Winter: beyond ski in ski out from the plaza, skate at the Mountain Village ice rink in the Village Center, then come home to the gas fireplace.
Spring: the ski season runs into early April. The lifts and gondola then close for maintenance, and the gondola reopens for summer in late May.
SKI ACCESS
In winter, walk out onto Sunset Plaza, put your skis or board on, and ski the Meadows run to Lift 1 and Lift 10. Lift 10, Sunshine, is known locally as "the Real Estate lift" for the mountain homes you see from the chair. For Lift 4, Misty Maiden, walk a short way up a gentle slope and ski over. At the end of the day, ski back to the plaza, store skis and boots in the Blue Mesa ski locker room, and head one flight up to the condo entry.
THE HOME
Main level: the great room has a sectional sofa, a leather armchair, a 55-inch Smart TV, and the gas fireplace. The kitchen adds dark cabinetry, a tiled backsplash, a gas stove with a range hood, and a breakfast bar with 4 stools. The dining table seats 8 beside a wall of framed photographs. From the patio, gondola cabins pass overhead with the San Sophia range beyond. The laundry is on this level.
Upper level: Bedroom 1 has a King, a TV with Apple TV, built-in storage, a private patio, and a barn door to its bathroom with a double vanity, freestanding soaking tub, and frameless glass shower. Bedroom 2 has a Queen and a TV with Apple TV and uses the hall bathroom, with a glass shower.
Top level: the Bedroom 3 bunk room has four full-size beds, a TV with Roku, and its own bathroom with a glass shower. The building's rooftop community hot tub is on this level.

GETTING AROUND
On foot: the free gondola is about a 3-minute walk through the Mountain Village Core. It runs to the Town of Telluride in the winter and summer seasons; during brief spring and fall maintenance closures, a free SMART bus connects the two towns.
Dial-A-Ride: 4 complimentary rides per day, $15 each additional ride, for rides around Mountain Village.
By car: one reserved space in the building garage, no charge, low clearance. Telluride Regional Airport is about 15 minutes away and Montrose Regional Airport about 1.5 hours.
