"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. ..."

A good place for a stopover - would recommend Panorama too. If one had more time there are activities nearby!

Nice little town. Convenient location for Waitomo attractions. Good dining. Try Bosco cafe and Stoked Eatery.
