Not far from Bandera, we enjoyed the wildlife and seclusion for a weekend retreat. We walked around around 2.5mi on the property exploring the trails, we look forward to going back.
Perfect get away to leave the hustle and bustle of day to day life behind. Love the simplicity of the barndominium, it was clean, offer everything we needed, and we were accommodated with an early check in.

This is definitely a place you go for some peace and tranquility. Not much close by but the hiking and the views are amazing! Just what we needed.
I can't say enough about how wonderful this property is. We were staying here to put us near places we love to hike but ended up loving the Bison Trail hike on the property that we didn't even bother going anywhere else. Loved our cabin and had great communication with our hosts.
Loved the place and the location was extraordinary. If you haven’t experienced well water and sulfur smell of water just understand that it can be off putting to some. My kids hadn’t experienced so caught them off guard. The wildlife and atmosphere were perfect for a relaxing weekend. Beth came by to make sure everything was great.
Beautiful secluded location for time away from city life. Wildlife is extremely comfortable coming right up to the house. Very clean location and great communication from host. Just heads up... No phone service depending on what service you have as it is in the middle of nowhere, but can still text and get on the internet with the wifi they provided.
Isolated, scenic, and beautiful property. Surrounded by wildlife and trees. Adorable and comfortable cabin with full kitchen and AC. Hiking trails and a long covered porch to sit and watch nature.
My family has been coming out to the Hill Country for years now but this is the first time we had stayed at 7 Canyons. It was a perfect location - very quiet and private - and just 30 minutes from Bandera in one direction and 30 minutes to Lost Maples in the other. At night, nestled between hills on all sides, the stars were the brightest things around. The cabin was well appointed and had all we needed for our three night stay. We would definitely come back.
Beautiful setting with lots of cool wildlife! This is a cozy and very rustic cabin that offered a reasonably nice stay. This is not a luxury resort and does not offer a lot of comfort, but it is certainly nice enough for a short stay. The living room couch is old with large springs and is not comfortable for more than a few minutes. The queen size bed is fairly firm with cheap thin pillows (bring your own if possible). Cleanliness was acceptable, but deep down cleanliness could have been better. Such as, the floor was clean where you walked, but up against the counters in the kitchen and other areas, it was in definite need of a thorough cleaning as were other less visible areas.Pluses include the on-site hiking areas, wood available for fires and lots of peace and quiet. We would stay again. Thank you!
My husband and I wanted to "unplug" over Christmas and this was the place to do it. It was so wonderfully quiet and beautiful. I did need to work on one day and the WiFi was excellent for me to be able to do so. We love to hike and were excited about all the trails, but I will say that the descriptions of the trails make them sound more like an easy stroll and they're not lol. Fortunately, as mentioned we are hikers so we were able to traverse them. So if I were to number easiest to hardest, we would say the easiest is the Grotto trail. It is up hill, but the path is pretty solid and easy to walk. The Grotto is so beautiful! The Advice from a MULE trail is a moderate one, with some steeper climbs and the hardest is the TEXAS Trail. It is definitely a more challenging climb, very rocky and steep. Beth was so nice and always friendly whenever she was doing her rounds to feed the barn cats. We saw elk and wild turkey traveling through while sitting on the porch. will definitely be back!
