A charming, carefully restored 1850s country house steeped in history (formerly a village café, a family home for six generations), nestled on the edge of a meadow where peaceful sheep graze, on a south-facing plateau overlooking a verdant valley. Absolute tranquility awaits in a small rural hamlet nestled on a hillside in the heart of the countryside, in a magnificent, unspoiled rural setting of gentle mountains. An exceptionally privileged location between town and country, just 5 km from Chauffailles, a charming, typical market town nestled in the foothills of the Haut Beaujolais mountains, a historic center of the 19th-century textile industry (with a weaving museum to explore), offering all essential shops and services and numerous sports and leisure activities (with facilities and play areas for children on site). The cottage is comfortable and very spacious. A warm, contemporary country charm blends seamlessly with the captivating features of the original building (historic stone fireplace mantel, stone door and window lintels with antique hinges, etc.).
